Absolutely insane, things move so fast it's really hard to appreciate even a fraction of the detail that went into this without watching in slow mo or pausing every 5 seconds. Very nice reference to SMW at the end too, about time Mario knew what it's like. I also love that you filmed at a place called Riverside Park, which is an actual course in Mario Kart: Super Circuit lmao

Thank you for your kind comments. This has become a fun hobby and work in progress. I appreciate you noticing the detail, it’s becoming a fun new challenge I’ve been trying to take on.

My son is 3 and absolutely loves watching this video over and over again. I am still in aw of the work. You clearly have a gift! My son and I have slowly started making bigger tracks that are budget friendly because of your channel. We plan to try our stairs soon and take the track and extend it. We just purchased two of those Nascar figure 8 crash tracks on sale, and those tracks seem to make stuff fun. Look forward to seeing what else you can do, and my son always starts his 6 Mario Kart racers with you when we watch your content.

Thank you so much! That is so kind of you. Hot Wheels can definitely get expensive. Buying tracks at Dollar Tree is pretty cheap. You can get 4ft for $1. It’s even cheaper if you get a box online. Now that the weather is better out here. I’m hoping to start filming more Mario Kart Hot Wheels Circuit Tracks.

@@HAA_Studios_Noggin yeah, I had to sacrifice a couple tracks for that shot….and Mario. I was so excited I got the perfect shot, and was watching the replay and out the corner of my eye saw a flame. It was Mario. Fortunately I had a spare. 😂

Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, fortunately I knew the manager of our local water park and she let me slip in week before they opened the park! I really like your light idea. I’ve tried that on a couple of my videos (one is still in production). What did you use? I found these little finger LED lights with a rubber band that I just tied to the character.

There aren’t really any transport/teleportation tubes in Mario Kart. I just use them in my videos to get the characters to different places.

Gotcha. Sorry didn’t understand what you meant. So I actually just went to a hardware store and bought 4 or 5 inch PVC pipe and spray painted them. They also have pipe extenders that give the typical tube entry.

It all starts with an Idea!! I got a lot of the material from the Dollar Tree. They actually sell Hot Wheels tracks for a really great deal. I also have a 3D printer that has been really helpful printing a lot of the props. I’ll actually film all of these in 20-30 feet segments and edit it so it looks like a continuous track.

How do the cars keep moving?

The majority of these shots are filmed 5-15 feet at a time and then spliced together. So it isn’t a continuous run. I either had my kids pushing the cars while I filmed or; had my camera on a tripod and pushed them myself. The really long run I’m Waluigi Stadium was actually filmed with the cars going backwards downhill. Then, i just reversed the video during editing to make them look like they were driving up hill.

I actually have a shy guy 😊

Thank you! For the roof shots I 3D printed some wall mounts for Hot Wheels tracks and just turned them so that they would make the track level. And the I also had something lower down on the roof to catch the karts if they fell off the track. The GoPro car fell off a few times, but fortunately never fell off the roof.

10:06 You should've lit the fire on that fireplace, could've been a nice detail to the castle!

Some of the jumps took a lot of tries. Other jumps I would just film the take off and then make it look like it landed. All depended on where I was filming.

Just got up on my roof and carefully pushed the Karts. I also 3D printed some pieces used to typically hold the tracks on the wall to level out the tracks. Getting OFF the roof was the fun part. 3D printed that suspension bridge and had a bunch of pillows underneath in case they fell off.

I have seen racers like Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Bowser, Peach, Daisy, Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, Yoshi, DK, Diddy Kong, Rosalina, and Toad. But I haven't seen Dry Bones, Dry Bowser, King Boo, Baby Peach, or Toadette race each other before together so you should make another race with those characters okay

These videos are more for entertainment rather than authentic Hot Wheels landing jumps and getting back on tracks. So I often will just send the karts going backwards and then reverse the footage. Otherwise I’d be taking 1-3hrs for a 5 second clip. When we were reviewing the multiple shots of Koopa getting back on the track that one was so outlandishly impossible and funny that we just had to keep it!!
