You're right, although I'm not the one who made that code. Also, there are a ton of other little details that normally only show up in single player on the various stages. There was one code for this game that makes the snow in Sherbet Land show up in the foreground in multiplayer, instead of just in the background, which I actually did make, although no video of that yet. I actually have also made a code which displays the extra single player detail in Mario Kart Wii in multiplayer, although again, no video yet. Well, this comment ended up being a little unnecessarily long.

would you ever do LAN Mode with these guys?

I'm unlikely to play LAN mode for a few reasons. First, I don't know this for an absolute fact, but I don't think you can record input the way you can with regular netplay on Dolphin, and without that, it would mean I would have to record footage live, which makes things more difficult. I don't think I could host it myself, which would mean I would have to rely on someone else to record the footage and that complicates things even more. Also, I think I would have a tough time getting enough players to take advantage of it. I technically do know enough people to play it with at least 6 players, but it would be hard enough for them to all be available at the same time. If the whole setup was as simple as standard Dolphin netplay, and if I could easily get more players, I would definitely do it.

arronmunroe i think LAN is currently being worked on to be improved, so maybe it’s a thing for the future. it’s still fun even if you only have 4 people though, everyone gets their own screen or at least only needs their computer divided in half instead of quarters.

For playability, it's better to have your own screen, but for recording, which I have to do for these KZread videos, it's actually more of a pain to deal with. The end result is still the same with 4 screens stuck together for a video.
