Hearing Maple Treeway's soundtrack was like a sucker punch of nostalgia to the gut. Would love to see Koopa Cape added in a future wave! Edit: Now that I've played it, I think this is the best wave yet. All the tracks are awesome. Oh, and freaking HALF-PIPES are back! Which reminds me... PLEASE bring back DK Summit.

It also actually looks like Boo Lake, unlike Cheese Land and Ribbon Road. Those two courses look nothing like the originals and I can only tell they're the same by comparing the minimaps.

Fun fact: GBA boo lake is the first course in 8 years (since the original 32 released in 2014) that has an underwater section.

Yeah, I played Mario Kart DS 14 years ago so I got to see the original Peach Gardens

As soon as I saw 3DS rainbow road and that GORGEOUS music kicked in…. Tears of joy. I only wish they would bring back the first person mode too, I loved playing that track with that POV!

You know what? I noticed the music from Maple Treeway synced in with 3DS Rainbow Road and that was a great touch.

I am so delighted that we're getting the Rainbow Road from 7 in this Booster Pass. It looks absolutely beautiful and gorgeous in HD. Plus the remixed music sounds heavenly, as it should be.

Honestly, I don't think so. In this trailer alone I'm seeing all the issues I already have with the previous releases of the booster pack courses. All the tracks look extremely distorted in their dimensions in a weird way, I can't even describe it. Like, they don't look like they are supposed to. The dimensions are just totally off and it feels out of place somehow.

This update is incredible. The custom item option allows for such unique item setups. I hope Nintendo adds item rain as a feature (with item customizer for that mode) in a future update.

Yeah, and I just I hope that there is going to be an extremely gigantic significant graphics update for all of the courses, even in future waves and have all the graphics the same as the base game course graphics. And don't forget about those start/finish lines from the BCP, they probably need to be decorated on at least the 2 long ends of the start/finish lines and some having to be decorated on all ends of the start/finish lines just like the start/finish lines out in the base game, for example, GBA Ribbon Road has a start/finish line that has a yellow wooden rod right onto each end of it

Dear Nintendo crew, I wanted to say thanks for bringing back my favorite Rainbow Road from Mario Kart 7 back to Mario Kart 8. It was a very beautiful Course in my childhood and was always my favourite rainbow road of all time. When Mario Kart 8 was released, I was first a bit sad, because the course wasn’t there any more. But than the DLC has made everything well, when wave 3 was shown. So thank you, thousand times, thank you!!!

Good lord, they went above and beyond with this wave. Maple Treeway looks gorgeous and on par with the base games tracks, and the transparent neon style of 3ds Rainbiw Road looks cool. Also, Boo Lake looks so mysterious and cool.

@@iamlocus It's called standards. I expect the tracks to have the same quality as the ones from the base game. Watch the Digital Foundry video comparing these new tracks with the orignal ones. It's shocking when put side by side. I have never seen a game looking so bad when compared to itself.

Looks like Nintendo is giving these new courses more love and attention! This is a big step up from the previous and I hope they continue the Booster Course Pass with this quality!

Just noticed that the packs are released between 4 to 5 months. Wave 1 was in March, Wave 2 in August and now Wave 3 in December. So this means that 4 will be in April, 5 in July/August and the final one in November. That’s my theory

Maple Treeway was one of my favorite tracks in MKWii

I love that they are adding more Mario Kart 7 tracks. I still have the game till this day. Although Mario Kart DS is my all time favorite and first Mario Kart game I’ve ever played, I’m happy there adding more tracks from different Mario Kart games. Here’s hoping they will eventually add my favorite Course of all time “Delfino Square” to the game in the foreseeable future👍

As a MK7 Vet Player it be nice to see this again maple treeway looks like a nice oak area to trotter on very woodlike and the new tracks I'll be looking on tryin out I will London Loop and Berlin Byways are both a smashing good time. hmm no toad's factory at the moment, but I will not give up hope either way looking forward to the next round of races on Dec (if I'm not to busy with me Fam.)

this wave looks INSANE. the quality went crazy this time around. i was hoping to hear the remixes for all the tracks, but they stopped after rainbow road :(. I was dying to hear the new rock rock and berlin themes. they added more anti grav! and this time with effort put in! (boo lake looks stunning) the only complaint i really have is that they probably could’ve gone without the neon blue borders in rainbow road, but the track looks gorgeous nonetheless. can’t wait to play this wave when it comes out

I am right there with you. When they showed Maple Treeway, and then 3DS Rainbow Road, and THEN Rock Rock Mountain, I felt like that meme of Vince McMahon where he just keeps getting more and more excited until he finally falls backwards in his chair.

But I’m going to be completely honest. I kinda like wave 2 better. I meen I really like this wave! But I feel like I know more of wave’s 2 tracks more than 3. It doesn’t mean I hate wave 3 I still like it and I will still look forward of what comes next!

I would have been sad if we had to wait another year for Maple Treeway. It’s one of my favorite courses of all time. The music and the environment give me such a nostalgic feel.

I am so glad they brought back Rainbow Road and Rock Rock Mountain

I'm so glad that they keep improving the way the tracks look. If they keep repeating this pattern, imagine how wave 6 would look!

3DS Rainbow road is one of my all time favorites. Hearing that music again was such a nostalgic joy.

These Wave 3 courses are so incredible and nostalgic I am so ready for more Mario Kart action. If only they could bring back the rest of the Rainbow Roads instead of leaving them out that is. 🌈

Maple Treeway and 3DS Rainbow looks beautiful in those graphics. Nintendo is really nailing on these waves. I hope I see a cleaner graphics like these in Mario Kart 9.

I almost started crying when i saw 3DS Rainbow Road, that remix is amazing, the track looks amazing and mariokart 7 was the first mariokart where I 3 starred everything on every cup on every CC. It wasn't my first Mariokart but it was my most played, and that Rainbow Road is like the theme music to my childhood from 2011-2018. Thank you Nintendo, Thank you.

With Mario Kart 7 being my first Mario Kart game, I was very nostalgic and happy seeing Maple Treeway and 3DS Rainbow Road make their return. And then seeing my favourite track, Rock Rock Mountain, appear, I became so excited! Can’t wait to revisit them again! :)

Same here. The tracks look so great! I'm especially excited for Rainbow Road, Rock Rock Mountain, and Maple Treeway since they were all in MK7. I haven't been able to play MK7 since my 3DS broke, so this is gonna be a fun wave got me. I'm very excited.

Rainbow Road’s scenery made me tear up ngl

Some pretty good choices here! I LOVE that they're doing Rock-Rock Mountain as that was one of my favorite courses in all of Mario Kart 7, Boo Lake looks like they're going to get pretty creative with it thanks to you being able to go underwater now which I am more than happy with (I ADORE how in the last wave they completely changed up the track of Kalimari Desert), Mario Kart 7's Rainbow Road might not have been my first choice (that honor goes to Double Dash!) however it looks like they are going to vastly improve upon it which I can appreciate, and Maple Treeway...yeah that was only a matter of time (I still remember bitterly how that was like the ONLY track anyone ever wanted to play CONSTANTLY on Wii's online).

The transition from Maple Treeway to Rainbow Road DID NOT NEED TO GO THAT HARD

Both of these cups are going to be legendary. There’s not a single track in these waves that I want to avoid playing and they all look fun and beautiful. I hope they touch up the wave 1 tracks just a little bit

@@Pyraling_Extra I wouldn't be either, but it's so lazy that I can't even think of it as an "art style" at this point - if the whole game looked like this then fine, but when you go from cool and generally realistic on the Wii U to something just imported and thrown together in blender overnight it sorta makes you a little upset... That's all, but if you like it then that's wonderful! I wish I did as well, I just can't no matter how I look at it. There was 0 effort put into any of the graphics for this booster dlc

it's been over 8 years since the last Mario kart release

these race tracks look really fantastic, I don't think there will ever be a better remake. Just seeing rainbow road only makes me so so excited to play. This is what players want and this is what we get, all I can say. Nintendo you are just a fantastic team and thank you for all the beautiful courses that you have already remastered and for completely new courses that you will create.

I was surprised that Maple treeway is in wave 3 as I thought it was coming later on the booster pass in the arcon cup,but Koopa Cape have to come as both alway come as counterpart to each other

@@joshhallam6342 I think they're definitely basing the tracks around the seasons and what the cups are, like rock rock being in the rock cup and maple treeway being around the fall season (sorta) lmao. so koopa cape is most likely coming in the summer wave 😁😁 I'm so pumped

Rock Rock Mountain is my favorite. I miss the glide mechanic in Mario Kart 7. The momentum u get for good gliding was awesome. And the glider was unlimited until u spend a whole second on the ground

unlimited gliding until you press B by accident above the giant out of bounds area at the end of Wuhu Mountain Loop and have to go back to the glider ramp lmao

@@beccacroce7380 yea. If you had a mushroom or 3, you could skip almost a whole section. The glide mechanic was better then. Now it's on a timer. So now u gotta stick close to the road or ull be strung out. That's my favorite Mario Kart game. Sorry to go crazy with it lol

@@beccacroce7380 Mario Kart 7 is honestly one of the best mario kart games in terms of the tracks and their quality imo. Even the retro ones are overall great. I mean come on they got luigi's mansion, kalamari desert, waluigi pinball, airship fortress and dk pass! What stinks about it though is that it's limited by the 3ds. Mario Kart is a perfect family couch game and you can't do that with mk7. Also the roster is way too small for the characters they put in. While I like oddball character choices the roster is small enough where those choices were put in over mario kart staples.

That booster course DLC is definitely becoming worth the price. Me and my roommates love racing each other and now we will get more fall and winter themed lanes

i'm so glad they added 3ds rainbow road, i've always loved the space/planets theme and it's nice finally seeing it in hd

I'm looking forward to these. I care about Tour tracks less than ones from the mainline games, but having more tracks is a good thing overall.

Just because you care less about Mario Kart Tour doesn’t mean you should be biased negatively against those tracks in 8 deluxe

i almost cried of happiness after seeing how beautiful the 3ds rainbow road looks in this they managed to make my favorite mario kart track ever even better, im definitely getting the booster pass as soon as i can

Imagine how it would've looked like with the Mario Kart 8 2014 standard. These courses still look like Mario Kart Tour, a much cheaper simpler artstyle making them feel completely out of place from the base game. At least the price per track is very cheap.

3DS Rainbow Road is probably the gem of this pack. It might be a one lap/three checkpoint track but unlike RR64, it has the right on being that (Mount Wario/Big Blue levels of right) because of how long it REALLY is. Lots of people will race on Maple Tree Way often. Don't know if it's because I haven't played Super Circuit but discovering their tracks in a MK8 type of thing is nice.
