Questa è pura arte. Trovatemi un tenore che oggi sappia esprimere il dolore sul proprio viso come Mario del Monaco. La drammaticità non è solo nella voce, ma nel fisico e nell'atteggiamento. La voce è l'ultima cosa.

Mario was a total artist! He was completely involved in his art even when he shaved or took a shower..... Truly one of a kind.

Yes he was. What I would give to be able to see him in Pagliacci, Otello, Fanciulla, Chenier, Forza, Aida, Samson, Norma, Carmen, Gioconda, Cavalleria, Ernani, or Turandot? Or just singing the telephone directory.

Do you need to be on the stage ?..or just sing at home ..:-) ..or to be the GREATEST MARIO del MONACO !!! The impression is even stronger ! No mask..just himself ! So NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL !!! Thanks for sharing this UNIQUE video !
