no,it's still restricted down to seven characters,including Mario and sonic who can play all the events and your mii

But if I start it again won't that erase the sonic's gym story that I have completed

My favorite sport to play as my Mii is Equestrian

U can erase everything in the whole game in settings and redo Road to Rio as long as u join Mario’s Gym

Well you have to play story mode to access your Mii and other secret characters, but the Plus events are available from the start. Oh are you talking about the trampoline and stuff? Those are only available on certain days in Road to Rio mode, and you can only use your Mii
