I actually like the concept of Plus Events. Normal Events with a twist to add extra depth. Sure these aren't Dream Events but this allows for more Plus Events than Dream Events since it is easier to develop.

What happened to ski jumping in space and horse riding on Yoshi's Island? Going to those crazy places where you would normally never hold an olympics event is what made dream events so fun and memorable. Even if the area itself wasn't all that memorable, you could still do things in a dream event that you could only do in, well, a dream! Now they just look like regular events with some Mario and Sonic themed obstacles. Some dream events don't even have that Mario and Sonic flair, they just have flashy number pads or something.

These dream events don't seem very dreamy at all. It looks more like story mode missions than anything. I liked the ones from winter olympic games better because they allowed you to use items and specials more often and had better places.

i really want to play this game

I know that the Wii U and 3DS versions are essentially the same, but which would you recommend getting? Do you feel like this is more of a game to be able to play on the go? Or rather, more one to sit down at home and play? (I'm assuming that to play multiplayer on the 3DS that the other players must have the game as well?)

What happened to Dream Space Walk, it's literally my favorite Dream Event.

Dream long jump is an insult compared to the DS 2008 dream long jump, or the rocket sky jumping one from Vancouver 2010. Jesus, these should be more like story missions with Mario and Sonic elements on them for shaking things up, not the "full" dream events.

+All Access Gaming I think it was done because in 2012 there is too many events to code every character in as that would be different animations for 50 events. For here, my guess is that there is too many characters for the 3DS.

Yep. Dream Events were easily the best part of these games, and THIS is their sorry excuse? It's almost painful. (Also, Dream Figure Skating is the best one.)

Braderzgaming Well it's basically mario party: the minigames with sonic! The first game had a pretty good concept, but as the years went by, this game lost pretty much all of it's originality. The only way they can try adding new content is via the new characters... It's lazy and dull, end of the statement.
