Marines in Norway

Embark on a historical journey through the U.S. #Marines' presence in Norway, tracing the evolution of Operations Strong Express to its culmination in Nordic Response 24.
This vital exercise, now known as Nordic Response, represents a crucial component of readiness and national defense.
Taking place biennially, this NATO training event not only showcases the Marine Corps' prowess in arctic environments, but also fosters essential interoperability with allied nations. Witness the strategic significance of this exercise, ensuring our armed forces stand prepared for any challenge on the horizon.

Been there and done that back in 1987. Got my BlueNose on that trip. Looks like we had much harsher temps and much deeper snow back in the day. Up North it is really a beautiful place along the fjords.

"Our" (I'm from Russia) criminal putin if decided to attack any NATO country, chooses one of the Baltic (Litva, Latvia,Estonia). So, if i were you, since we all realize that "Nordic response" is to show putin (never capitalize his name) that you're ready, i would exercise "Baltic response". Someone might ask, why Baltic states? One of them Litva separates Russia from its Kaliningrad. Baltic states are small and they hard to get to NATO's power and easier to get to from Russia, Belarus (consider this country as part of Russia, putin pays Lukashenko).

@johnnyseventeenseventysix3911 the southern border of the US is not a military problem but a political and social problem using the military for the border is just asinine, instead you have to get an agreement with Mexico about tighter border security, institute harsher penalties for employers who employ illegal aliens, and through this US consumers need to agree to neccesarry pay more for some goods since labor cost will be higher. Lastly you need to get agreements for fast tracking deportation of national to their respective home countries. Using the military and especially the Corps on the border is just utter nonsense and idiotic since the Coprs is an expeditionary force and not an ocupational force, that is the Army's job if any, and even then it would be stupid, since that would be better done by the respective border states National Guard units.
