M72 law is actually still very relevant, many armies still use it, it is decent against light armored vehicles and good against enemy positions.
love the M72 LAW. Simple, Easy, Cheap, gets the job done.

Those earlier ones couldn't knock out PT-76s back 69' Lang Vei in Nam. They were p.o.s L.A.W. Later ones took about 3-5 M-72s to knock out a T-54/55.

@@hochoma1564 Well it's a Light Anti-tank Weapon (hence the name LAW) which are not meant to be used against heavily armoured vehicles such as the T-54/55. It's suited against thinly armoured vehicles such as APC's or IFV's.

@@villeylonen6981 but that is the only portable anti tank weapons provided to troops, (nva RPG 2/7s were more effective, they were not heavy anti-tank weapons either). Earlier ones were p.o.s, later ones were better! PT-76s armor were thin; they were APCs. Early M-72 failure led to the whole camp of 300 troops wiped out by 7 PT-76s.

It's not just for looking cool, kids. It's a useful piece of kit.
How come the M72 LAWs used in training can be re-used again, while the actual anti-tank version is disposable?

there's a smaller diameter barrel inside the training rpg. It launches, well a "slug" without fins. You can see him loading it at 0:54.

@@grrrexky I was in the dutch airforce in Germany. We had to shoot the old ammo for training with the law.I shot around 60 or 70 on one Day.I had a good time.We also shot some real laws. That was even beter. The bang it gives when the rocket leaves the tube is amazing.
Spent the summer of 1995 shooting 500 law rockets at the range. EOD and my unit was to busy to do it. I was shooting then between my legs and from behind lol
We used the LAW while I was in service in '73/'76. Big bang - no recoil.
Last time i trained with the Americans they would not stop hitting on me.
The round you saw loaded into the LAW was a sub caliber training round. not a tank killer.

This training isn't serious or groundbreaking, these types of training are more to just have the Japanese and American forces somewhat familiar with each other, that's literally it.
At 9:14 what rifle is on that guys back?
