    For Dark Angles, a silver stud is 50 years of service, a gold one a full century. It can vary from Chapter to Chapter but depending on the material, a stud can mean 10, 50 or a 100 years. Also, it seems like the studs are supposed to fall out of favor with some Chapters, according to the Warhammer40k Wiki.

Good balance between military tactics and mech combat and with your background in politics you might enjoy that addition as well. The only downside I've seen in the story is the background on the mechs themselves (possibly why it isn't heavily mentioned)

    I thought the Black Carapace was an implant under the skin and the only visible exterior is the connection points. I'd assume the black suit he's wearing is just some sort of body glove of some kind.

    This is like the StarCraft scene minus the cigar inside the closed visor helmet. It's insane how a small solo or small group production looks much better than a major high production full motion video by a giant effects studio with walls and corridors of parallel processing workstations. Sure, the rendering and processing has increased off the charts, but the attention to nuanced details. The pacing, the sound mix. The tech is 2 decades more advanced and yet productions like this are rare. Which implies this is a massive undertaking very few have ever attempted and fewer achieved.

    That's the difference between a passion project and something that's just a job. If given enough time and funds, the animators are more than capable of making masterpieces that are true to the material they are trying to share with their viewers as proven with numerous household names. Companies like GW on the other hand...😬

    Imagine not being inside of a tank but actually being THE tank whilst having incredible dexterity and agility and the same applies for actual vehicles as will since you have to neurologically mind link yourself to the machine so anything the vehicle sees ie cameras and sensors are what you can also see, what the machine feels ie the pur of the engine to the dents in its armor and for larger vehicles even a severed limb where say your mechs arm is ripped off to cut a long story short you will basically have your arm also ripped off or the feeling that your arms been torn off) or when an explosion hits you can feel the damage

    The Raptors are experts at jungle and guerrilla warfare and value sound tactics and strategy over perceived honor and glory. They also actively ally with, lead and partner with Imperial Guard forces to make the best possible combined force to defeat the enemy as efficiently as possible. Loyal to the Emperor, they do not fully trust the Administratum so they keep their homeworld a closely guarded secret that none outside the Chapter know it’s location. And I like to think their motto is “Swift, Silent, Deadly”. Get some!

    There was one pretty major mistake in your description of the Marine before he was "armed" with Mk.X Tacticus Armor. The black suit which you called the "Black Carapace" is actually just the layer of the Power Armor below the Ceramite Plates. Basically, it's a bodyglove of synthetic muscle fibers moved by electrical impulses that replicate the wearer's movement and enhance his strength. It's flexible, resistant to small arms fire and completely enviromentally sealed once the Helmet is put on. It is one part of a complete Astartes Power Armor Suit... at least for the newer Primaris Marines, which exclusively wear the variants of Mk.X Power Armor. The Firstborn Marines can't wear the Mk.X(too large, except maybe the Phobos variant) but I believe a very similar undersuit was already in use since the Mark.III or Mark.IV versions. The "Black Carapace" on the other hand is one of the biological implants that define the Adeptus Astartes. It's a thin layer of a black film like substance that gets implanted under the Marines torso skin and muscles(which necessitates peeling back the skin and flesh on these parts of the body...), both on the frontal and the rear torso as well as the torso sides under the armpits. After successful implantation, it will begin to grow by sending tendrils into the Astartes spinal nerve bundles as well as his arms and legs, following the main nerve lines there as well. Once that is done, the torso parts will begin to harden and form another layer of protection against blunt and piercing damage. The next step is to cut the incissions in the proper places and implant the connector ports to the Power Armor. This is something unique to the Astartes, other Power Armor users like the Adeptus Sororitas as well as certain high ranking Inquisitors or Astra Militarum Officers do not "merge" with their Power Armor in the same way. Which is why Astartes move in full armor as if they were completely unobstructed by it, while non Astartes Power Armor users trade in agility, speed and range of movement for protection. And for something completely different... has anyone ever told you that you look *very much* like Russel Crowe back in the early 2000's? "Gladiator" for example came immediately to my mind on seeing one of your videos thumbnails. There's no deeper reason or meaning to me saying this, I just found it curious.

    Slight error in your comment on the black carapace. It is the plugs that connect into the suit. It is literally a sub dermal organ, that connects to the nervous system of the marine and connects him to his power armor. The black suit he was wearing is called a void suit, it allows the power armor to function in zero atmo.

(forgot to add this earlier) and they are normally naked in appereance... the primaris marine is not wide enough in the shoulders and chest and most certainly not bulky enough to actually look like a space marine (i dont care what the new designs from gw are)

    Quick heads up. The Marine shown in this animation isn't actually a Marine, what he is, is called a Primaris Marine, and every old fan of 40k fucking despise them. They're a recent addition that came out of nowhere with some of the worst lore ever. They're super-er super soldiers, imagine a regular Astartes but somehow a no-name techpriest improved on Big-E's designs. Just wanted to let you know.

  • @An0nym0us567

    @An0nym0us567

    Don’t get the hate for Primaris Marines. Besides it took ten thousand years for Cawl (one of the ruling lords of the Priesthood of Mars and a Genetor) to improve the original space marine design. And he had the Emperor’s notes as well. It wouldn’t be surprising for him to come up with 3 more gene-seed implant organs. And besides the organs were pretty simple. One to improve strength and toughness, another to magnify the functions of other organs and one to give basically super adrenaline boosts.

  • @DragonHammer45

    @DragonHammer45

    3 жыл бұрын

    I’ll admit, I had a nerd rage multi paragraph post made in reply to this at first. Thankfully I took a step back and a cooler head prevailed. So instead I’ll say this: Primaris are bad because they suck from a story perspective. They had to make an entirely new character just so that they could justify them, and then had to retcon established lore and twist it around just so they could justify how cawl could do what he did. Instead of doing something simple and and neat. Like, for instance; reintroducing the Thunder Warriors, or just giving the marines a new set of armor and equipment, instead of entirely new marines. I’m tired of arguing this. But all the same I can’t bring myself to shrug my shoulders and accept the Nu-lore. Everything new they keep introducing feels like a slap in the face to oldhammer and the lore I grew up with.

    ...He wanted to bring America... By any chance, were you thinking of the infamous God Emperor Trump float that was seen during an Italian parade a couple of years ago? One of the best memes to come out during Trump's Administration, the legions of leftards I triggered by sharing these, was just quite satisfying on itself! On a complete different note, seeing all these fan made movies, cinematics and animations, it would be so epic to get a live action movie. Although I honestly believe that Hollyweirdos should stay far away from any WH40K projects, seeing how it has gone full woke, I don't want that plague to stain our beloved franchise! Could you imagine if they start talking about taking away 2A using completely out of lore narratives? That actually might make me lose all Faith in Humanity, redemption would be impossible because of these heretics! It more than probably would have to be crowdfunded or made by WarHammer Storyforge itself. It would have to be made for the fans of the franchise or people interested in getting into it, not in order to push a woke narrative or fill up some "diversity quota". Speaking of which, have you seen both fanmade movies Helsreach and The Lord Inquisitor? Could be interesting to see your take on these 2, although Helsreach is like almost 2h40mins so you would probably need to divide it in parts for that one!
