Having purchased B&G Zeus 3s with Halo, depth and wireless wind, I never got it to run in a sense I could trust the data. Sailing itself is a pretty simple thing if I learn the basics of it, which I did. Navigation, I thought would be simple as well using GPS and so on. Now having all the B&G equipment which is not running, I feel like an architect, has to draw a house, first time in AutoCad and 3D. It’s over complicated and I don’t know where people get all the information from to install and setup B&G equipment? If it needs about 20 years to learn, I don’t know if a have that time.

Good video. The B&G bone connectors are so primitive vs simnet.

Excellent presentation, just reduced the amount of gear I thought I needed! Since all the b&g site manual links are to simrad docs is it safe to say their equivalent kit will behave the same? Also you mixed the hydra with the triton and Zeus, does that mean you can use hydra sail CPU with triton auto pilot and the cheaper wind meter and get decent sail steer or do you need to have both hydra “boxes” Also if you have a full hydra 2000 system can you upgrade the n2000 back bone and only change the display and CPU?

How do you set up a mast rotation sensor in a Zeus 3? I have a B&G RF25 rudder angle sensor that is listed as usable as a mast rotation sensor on the B&G website. The B&G Zeus 3 installation manual says apparent wind can be compensated for using mast rotation and indicates on page 24 a sensor can be configured as a mast rotation sensor but when I try to configure the RF25 it won’t let me designate it as the mast rotation sensor.

Hello, thank you for the video. Maybe you can help me here: I have a sailing boat with 3 B&G W12 screens installed. One of them doesn't get the detailed map (Navionics) as the 2 others get it well. The navionics is installed in one of the master screen slot. Do you have an idea why I can't receive the detailed map on the slave screen. I have checked that all 3 deplays are visible on the network. thank you for your help

Do a long press on the data box you would like to change, then select the data type you would like to display from the list.

I must be watching a different video? Once at the boat; the British guy is doing a terrible job of explaining/demonstrating. Doesn’t say what he is touching, when, and is moving way too fast. Should have someone filming what he is doing as well as info on the screen.
