How Do you make money in this field? Ive always wanted to be a marine biologist but recently i hear that there is little pay. I dont want to go to school and pay thousands of dollars to get a degree and have a low paying job. I love the ocean but I also want a decent paying carrer

I guess it depends a lot on the country you work in, but you definitively won't be a millionaire. That's the meaning of having a lot of money. By this I don't mean on millions you can get for science projects because this is not your money you get to spend on yourself.

Devin Medina i am in school to be a marine biologist and i am 10 mins away from the scrips oceanography facility that they show in this video . My teacher is in the field and she said that she gets paid $40.50 an hour . now shes also been in the field for 10 years but 40.50 a hour is great . you probably will make around 25 starting out but you can work at it and build your career to make money .you might not be a millionaire but you sure wont be broke and its a lot better then working at McDonald for minimal wage .

+Hybodus Shark "marine biologist" is a term used for alot of jobs. Yes marine biology can include alot of dividing, like for environmental studies, or collecting animals for a zoo. Lol Or maybe working with sharks.
