Thankyou Dale for writing a poem on my very favourite lady. She saved my life as a child many times, and still does. I have identified with her as a person and through experiences, many times im my life, and she has been a blessing to me when I've needed comfort. I'm sure she would like your poem as much as I do. @@claudinedemantet Norma Jean was an extraordinary woman. All her movies I loved. She had an incredible range- -comedy and drama. Hope you read her sister's bio about her ( MY SISTER MARILYN). I never saw her as a "sex goddess" perse but as an attractive and sensitive actress. She had more depth than just body measurements. BUS STOP (WOW!), SOME LIKE IT HOT (COOL!) but her performance with Clark Gable in THE MISFITS was masterful. Mental health issues ran in her family and I can understand how this would've been part of her distress at times. And I have NO respect (AT ALL) for the kennedy playboys, and how they manipulated her emotional well-being. None whatever!!! I can see how she would have been an inspiration to you. Onky Joe will give a nod to.

@@dalepointer9414 she was an extraordinary woman yes, and a goddess to me, but as a woman with many sides to her, not a sex goddess, and I love her all her films, but especially love her playing the more serious roles. I loved her in Niagara and Bus Stop, and Some like it hot of course, but like you, my favourite of hers is The Misfits, I think she played that part perfectly, and also because I identified with her sensitive, and kind of sad character in it too. Clark Gable was always a favourite, so to have them both in the same movie was great for me. I see her as a warm sensitive, vulnerable girl with many mental health problems. She was taken advantage of and exploited for sure. I love pictures of her as a girl, with her beautiful auburn hair, so natural, before the studios got hold of her. I have read many books about her and i do have her sisters book, but I have not got round to reading much of it as of yet. I cannot abide the Kennedys for how they used her, and many other's too. As you say though, I always hold a thought for Joe. I know he sent red roses to her plot regularly, and this is something I have done every year since I was a child. I put roses out next to her picture in my home, every anniversary. 😊

I lived in the Los Angeles area years ago ( Inglewood Calif) and now live south about 45 miles in Huntington Beach Calif. I have attended her 50th Memorial service and have been to her former home. I also called the LA city council last week and told them No on the tear down of her former home. It is so uplifting that so many people, young and old still love Marilyn Thank you, Claudine.❤

You are very welcome Chris, and you are lucky to live so nearby. I would've loved to have attended a 50th Memorial service for her, and to have visited her home, how lovely, just to feel that she may have stood in the same place as you are now standing. Good for you calling LA City Council, and I'm with you, I would do the same. I have signed the petition on change.org for saving her home. I cannot believe they would even consider demolishing the home of such an icon of the 20th century, and who is still such an icon and an inspiration to people all over the world to this day, for many different reasons. She was a life saver for me, the light in my darkness ✨️ Elvis's home still stands as a memorial to him, and so should Marilyn's, as she is as big a star as Elvis ever was. Too many of Los Angeles historical film homes and sites have and are, being destroyed, very sad. Thankyou for your input Chris, and for liking my post 😊

I love her so much wirh her dark auburn hair, as it is more like my natural colour. She looks so much more natural. She didn't need that blonde hair to make her special. She was a sweet and lovely girl..who had something unique about her, she got me through my childhood and I'll love her forever for that. She has always been special to me❤😢

Мне кажется, Мэрелин - это отдельная планета. Мэрелин- сама по себе, а остальные женщины - отдельно от нее, сами по себе . Мэрелин - великолепная женщина! И сколько бы ни говорили о ее "неудачных" чертах характера, о ее трудностях, о чем- то отрицательном в ней - ничто не омрачит ее Образ, ничто не бросит тень на нее. Мэрелин - это не только внешняя красота, но что- то светлое, загадочное в этом прекрасном человеке, что и через десятки лет притягивает к ней и восхищает! Думаю, нельзя продавать ни дом, ни другие вещи, принадлежавшие Мэрилин. Например, платья ! Ни на ком они не будут хорошо сидеть, никого не украсят. Ужасно - чудесное платье на Ким Кардашьян! Эти вещи - реликвия, их надо просто показывать, выставлять в музее.

Oh my yes, how I agree with every word you speak. I saw this in Marilyn as s 6 year old child, when I first discovered her. No one should be wearing her dresses, you are so right, they should've all been in her own hollywood museum. No one should ever be allowed to wear them, and her home should stay as a museum piece too. She is s separate entity, our very special shining star. ✨️ ❤ thankyou for commenting.
