Agreed. They are ridiculously good, especially live. And as much as I love the Fish years, the band really came into its own with Hogarth, who is an absolutely astounding singer.

Welcome to the world of Marillion. 19 Albums, and every one is different. If a song or an album doesn't fancy you, just play it again, loud! Try Clutching at Straws or Afraid of Sunlight, or Seasons End. Hell try them all. Their fan base is getting larger every year. The "Marillion weekends" are amazing, and inexpemsive. The next one close is next year 2023 in Montreal. Be careful, you'll become a cult member!

Soooooo pleased you love this band. They are from my home town in England (even though I’ve lived in Australia for the last 32 years) and I saw them love in Paris on my 40th where they gave me a free pass to watch the whole show from the balcony on my own lounge suit. Very special band and not a bad album in everyone they’ve recorded

I don’t know how many times I have listened to this song but I always have a pretty similar reaction by the end. This song just does something to me that very few pieces of music ever have. I don’t know if it’s autobiographical or something in my personal DNA but Neverland gets me every single time. It’s such a profound and majestic piece of writing and musicianship. Enough to make a grown man cry and I am not embarrassed in the slightest to admit it!

Wow, great song with so much love and emotion. I also loved Kel's reaction. I think I will sing this to my sweet husband. We just celebrated our 43rd Anniversary June 4th. I have been his fulltime caregiver since we married, and I'd do it all over again. Some people use to tell me when I met him and fell head over heels in love with him to leave him alone, because he couldn't take care of himself, and that our marriage would never last. It not only did, but it is stronger with each passing day! Why would anyone throw that kind of love away just because someone is disabled? I told them to mind their own business and fuck off!! I really found out who my true friends were when they told me that. Material things mean so much more to some than true love, and that's such a shame. Thanks for turning me on to this awesome song! Oh BTW Rich, congratulations on the 30th anniversary of your graduation! :-)

I always love it when someone discovers Marillion for the first time. I learned something tonight though, while early Genesis and Marillion are similar, Marillion is all about people and emotion, I never thought of that before. That is true back then and even more now. For me it is Steve Rothery on guitar that makes it happen. While he can play fast and hard but he chooses to play with so much feeling and carries the song. Fish or H you can't go wrong.

Did not want to cry while listening to the song, but I had to. Best proof that music did what it was created for: touch the innermost part of your true being/identity. Reminds me of a German saying. Roughly translated, it says: "It is never a shame to show your emotions. But it is bad if you do not have any emotions left." Thank you, Kel K' Rich.

I'm an Marillion purist. The first 4 albums is the real deal, then... And....their best lovesong is Script for a jesters tear.

This band has been a part of my life for 25 years. They're very personal to me. I'm so protective of them because of how much they mean to me. It was incredible to see you two listen to this. The first verse of this song was also main part of my wedding vows. Feels so good to share this with you guys.

For those of you who don't know about origins of the bands name Marillion, it was borrowed from the works of J.R.R Tolkien , called ''silmarillion'' it was one of Tolkien's unfinished works of myths and stories left after his passing , however the book was completed by his son Christoper Tolkien in 1977, as well as other unfinished stories. The band decided on the name they just , dropped Sil and used marillion .
