Makes sense. When she's hoarse the nodules are imflammed/acting up. For whistling you need to make the vocal cords go as close together as possible. The nodules naturally account for much surface area on the vocal folds. So, she's able to get VERY VERY little space due to the nodules. Outcome? Piercing whistles. Hopefully you get what I'm trying to say. You know can also know when they're not swollen because her belts shine more than her whistles. On really good days...all parts of her voice work well.

5:31 it's interesting hearing how her views on this subject have changed significantly since these interviews. She respects and values her father *much* more now than her mother, she doesn't even talk to her as far as we know. And she continously posts birthday and other tributes to her father, yet hasn't posted a mother's day or birthday message for her mother (her only living parent btw) on social media in several years. Also, in her memoir she pretty much painted him like the perfect man and almost perfect father to her, who was greatly misunderstood because of his race. Whereas her mother was painted as a jealous and negligent woman who Mariah didn't think ever loved her father, and only got with him because she had a black man fetish. Their relationship has truly deteriorated, but I guess it's understandable given what her mother and siblings did yo her throughout the years.
@LowkeyBreCollects

True she was just starting out in the industry and they do say money can change those around you. Here though perhaps she hasn’t tapped into the upbringing of her traumas just yet but things were slowly starting to unravel for her. One thing she does state that hasn’t changed at all is that her mother is the reason why she’s into music today. Great book though! It was amazing to hear her story! 💖💯

@GaelicTroubador LOL yeah she changed because she gradually got a grip of her career and didn't let anyone dictate what she should act or look like. "Mariah had always been warm but in '95 she went cold and distant", Entirely False, You can see that prior to '97, she was somehow awkward with her interviews and seemed like she's been holding out or being restrained. If you examine her earlier interviews closely, she actually has a few diva-ish moments already. Tommy actually admitted that he was a control freak when they were married, often dictated how Mariah should act in-front of the camera. On the other hand, the interviews in the Butterfly era and later showcased what Mariah truly is. She was free to speak her mind and dress how she wanted after her divorce with Tommy. And the enthusiasm isn't gone, have you watched her latest interview with Genius? It clearly shows that Mariah still hasn't changed a bit in terms of her enthusiasm for her craft.

@Riastrad Look into her eyes, she was warm in 1993 but cold, distant, aloof, and not enthusiastic like you said in 1995 because she was sad as she was going through something bad at that time. 1993 was the time when her career and her personal life staying at a good place.

When the interviewer brought up Mariah being biracial her body language and mood changed. I know she get tired of people bringing up her race. I’m even tired of it and I’m not even her. Even in 2021 I still see comments about “What is Mariah’s race?” “She doesn’t look ...” “But she’s...” WHY DOES IT MATTER 🤦🏽♀️ SHE’S A HUMAN BEING that’s it ... that’s what she is ... a human 😂

@LowkeyBreCollects

@arvinarota
5 жыл бұрын
@bayduvegrolode4531
5 жыл бұрын
@Riastrad Look into her eyes, she was warm in 1993 but cold, distant, aloof, and not enthusiastic like you said in 1995 because she was sad as she was going through something bad at that time. 1993 was the time when her career and her personal life staying at a good place.
