Mariah Carey - Live Vocal Range of "Debut Era" (1990 - 1991)
THE RANGE AT THE END IS SUPPOSED TO SAY B2 - Eb7, NOT C#3 - Eb7. I FORGOT TO FIX THAT. TOTAL RANGE IS 4 OCT 2 NOTES
i've been sitting on this one for a little while now, but i've decided to say screw it and just release it to get it done with. hint hint: working on the era that comes after emotions era next. :] also this was finished like last month, so that's why this has the UTS outro!

I really admired her voice during this era. The runs were so fluid, her tone was so soulful, and the vocal transitions were off the charts! Great job on this vid
This video made me realise how tense her F5's on so faithfully were but waaay more open on other parts

Some of her F5s would be consistently tense and some of her F5s would be consistently freer. Really weird to me that she made her songs like that lol.
C5: beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Yeyeyey!
Wonderful job!!! I got some complaints above certain notes tho. Some of them don't really count.
Amazing vid. And thanks 4 including the vocals from the Vanishing at NARM. Can't believe how developed her voice was at such young age. She sounded so mature and in control over her instrument. IMO the best vocals from a "new singer" EVER. She was a beast.
Love your vids
This is so good! :)
Amazing video!!!!!
Very nice and accurate video!! :)
great video as always👁️👄👁️
BEAUTiFUL INCREDiBLE. (Since 🇪🇬)
Great job your video✨. I think, she can supported range maybe: F#3 - Eb5/E5 - G5. Her E3's was low larynx. It was bit airy. Mixed voice was chesty and strained a few E5's. Above E5, she raised up her larynx. Headvoice pretty nice up to G5 but above G5, that's shrill tone.

I think that sometimes she can support below F#3, and all her whistle notes were supported.

She supported most of the fs, you can squeeze a note and still have at least decent support from your core
Yes debut!!!!
Great video! Her debut era was really good. Her raw talents really shine through even before any polishing later on in her career. The editing tho. How can you make the text so clear? I'm also using vegas pro but the older version (vegas pro 11). While mine look deformed lol even in hd 😅🤣

Debut Mariah had the best sustained C5s
Anything below Bb3/A3 is just so forced and coreless. She used to stain a lot even as low as C5. She used to strain even more as she was ascending the scale. Her F#5’s in “Vanishing” very strained. Overall, not her best era, but she had decent moments. She was a bit better in 1991/1992 in terms of belts, but still inconsistent most of the times.

@@nickoet2885 According to mr silver, lightening up the voice is not good. She did it in 1995 and her voice “collapsed” in 1997 and onwards. Her voice has always been airy. During the first years, she was on and off vocally.

the G3s are have core tho even F#3s and she was consistent with belts up to D5/Eb5 with some good E5/F5s theres literally 15 close vowel C5s here that she did qith great technique even the one of her singing america the beautiful so idk where you got her straining C5s
