It is sad to say that this person had haters in 1996 when she had the best voice on earth. she should have millions of fans and noone should be a hater of her.

Untill now, whether the perfect G5 in Toyko Dome was lived or just the studio dubbed is still a hot dispute between fans and antifans. But people forgot she has hit a supported G5 at 4:36 in this video !!! This is a 100% lived G5.

@@eddiechan12345 This G5 is flat. So there’s nothing perfect about it. The one at Tokyo Dome is also about 35 cents flat. G5 wasn’t really in her range. It was always a shot in the dark for her live hence why most of the Hero attempts are F#5.

There is literally a max of 3 total G5’s in this era. The ‘survive’ in this performance, the ‘survive’ in Paris, and the performance at Capitol Hill where she riffs up to the G5. All 3 of them were tense. Tokyo Dome is dubbed, proven by looking at the big screens and it not matching what she was doing vocally. And it was flat regardless so we’re not counting that one. Her range definitely ended at F#5, and this is the only era where the F#5’s were even supported consistently. Mariah was amazing in her prime, no need to hype her up to be something she wasn’t.

MSG, Tokyo Dome, and Rotterdam's G5s was heard Its G5 is slightly a little bit different from those two The note was briefly F#5 (4:20)

It's so funny how 'lambs' are hypercritical on her videos. Is the G5 supported or what? Blah, blah, slightly flat, spot on, or whatnot. Several commentaries. Let's just appreciate that this performance happened. That 'survive' note was phenomenal, and even though that 'way' was flat, an F#5 to be exact, it still sounded good to me. Not a lot of singers produce that kind of sound. I happen to watch a lot of Whitney's live perfs, and most of the comments are how they praise her and not drag her, unless some people write nasty comments.

Ok so Here's my 2 cents . I love Mariah all my life... let's just get that out of the way, I enjoyed this performance it was a layered vocal but whatever . For many reasons Mariah hasn't been singing completely live or un-edited for quite a few years now. To put it in perspective ( and this is how i rationalize to myself) Mariah is a vocal Olympian her songs, her vocal dynamics take the flexibility and stamina of a Thoroughbred. She has been singing for 25 years non stop. She started in the industry at 19 she's now 45. It would be like the world expecting Carl Lewis to run and make the same time at 45 as he did at 19 and win the Gold Medal . Mariah vocally is not the same singer she was at 19 or even 30 . And why should she be ? Age and non stop working takes a toll on the voice it's inevitable so maybe she uses some magic now and again to be able to still do what she loves to do(and collect her check ) I say "So What" ? if you were around for the first 10 years of her career and saw any of her live shows you'd know she had an incredible, strong and predictable voice it was undeniable and revered by many of the legends in the Business. I remember all that and cut her some slack when i see her lipping or using a supporting track at this stage of the game. I challenge anyone to do something physically exhausting for 25 yrs and see if you're EXACTLY as good as you once were ;) Thats all i'm going to say.

Uhm. Gladys Knight still sounding like the same at 74 years old. She can clearly belt out her classics just like how she did back in 50s, 60s and 70s. I'm not discrediting Mariah but some singers just age gracefully with their voice. Some just get exhausted. You're right that Mimi has nothing to prove at all. This video proves it.
