1:30 Every time I listen to those whistles they destroy my soul. It's amazing how she manages to emphasize emotions. Those who criticize her whistles and say they are not music should not be worthy of listening to these masterpieces.

I feel like I need to apologize. It’s taken me a decade to fully appreciate just how great this song is. Memoirs is perfection.

Ronnie Mikell Was pretty much just obsessed with her all thru the 90's;-) I actually was able to sing her high notes - drove my parents crazy, LOL

This is the best example of using whistle notes not just to impress (because it is already an impressive skill), but also because of the way it was used. Mariah used it in the most emotive way like it is damn necessary to the song. She did that thing too with Can't Let Go. The whistle is like the scream of pain and sadness. It's 2023, and I'm still stuck with the precious gems of musics back then. ❤️

There's something on this song, that makes it so special...... i cannot fathom its majestic attribute. will forever be in love to this song.

I could be in a really good mood, then listen to this and be all up in my feelings remembering pain from the past.

I hope she doesn't rush it and doesn't release it in late 2017 like she did with her last 2 albums. I Don'T is okay for a single but it's definitely not Mariah-level songwriting. We need an Emancipation of Mimi album again.

If this is not iconic then i do not know what is. This song is smooth like butter.

It's a well written album but overall, it moves too slow. She needed more uptempo songs to give it more balance.

Best track off the Memoirs album and one of Carey’s best.
