It's actually an easy and straight forward song. The melody is not complicated at all. The old arrangements for her voice had many runs and belts and that's what made the song challenging, which all clearly have been removed so she could sing it with her current voice.

@@veronicaalmeda8014 I would disagree. This song is extremely hard to sing. One of the most hard songs of her. It's not an easy and straight forward song if you make your own rendition of it. But if you sing it like the way she sang it it's impossible only young mariah can do. I mean if you do the original arrangement. I would only agree with the part you said "all clearly have been removed so she could sing it with her current voice". Btw, truly runs and belts made the song very challenging.

The only part that she utilizes the original track is on 2 notes, the first being 1:41 and the second being 2:04. The rest is what she sounds like in 2019. New management and she sounds better than she has in years.

This song really fits her now cuz now it has a motherly feel to it especially when she's singing to the Young lambies

This is my favorite song by her along with Make It Happen. This womans vocal ability is untouchable. Yes sometimes it's hoarse but what she can do with it is phenomenal.

Oh my god. This and MIH are one of my favourite songs too. So rare to see someone mention MIH. Whenever I am down I always put on MIH. Never the studio version Only the MTV Unplugged version because of the upbeat piano. As for AYNAF only the Tokyo dome version

I really don't understand whats going on, I have severe vocal damage as well, I do oversing a lot, I have nodules, I cannot sing for long and my voice after a period of rest is back..... age it is not a big factor, the woman is still young. I don't think it is pre-recorder there are some parts that doesn't make any sense. I think it is psychological, I don't think there is such type of voice damage that after so many years cannot be repaired at all, because she makes easier songs all those years. Mariah, I don't know if you spend time reading comments on youtube, but you are one of the most blessed singers, you know this, I think it is psychological and get over it, your voice with time shouldn't sound strained, it should sound mature, there is a difference, look at Shirley Bassay, she is even better with age, voices don't really age, I know you made a huge sensation around the world, you are the top living voice, just go for it again, you only live once. I got goosebumps right away listening to this, just go for it woman! Do you have any idea what you did to my life through your songs? 1. Make it happen, I make it happen, I wasn't born into a rich family, I was left all alone peniless, and I make it happen because I listen to your simple song and every time I wanted to do something, I literally followed your advice.... 2. Hero, I was alone in New York, 23 years old, trying to follow my dreams, I was feeling so lonely, and then I played your song, I cried and I said, I can do this.... 3. You taught me how to sing, properly, not singing like a cat is dying which is the majority of todays singers reaching those high notes.
