Mariachi Plata from the College of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas performs under the direction of Perry Chacon. This is their 3rd consecutive 1st place title in the National Group Competition College/University category.
The Mariachi Extravaganza is the largest mariachi music festival in the world for competitive mariachi. Over 1,000 mariachi musicians, educators, and aficionados gather in San Antonio, TX every year to be a part of competitions, workshops, and concerts hosted by the Extravaganza.
