Until today, I have not found such a stylish and beautiful interpretation of these piece by Piazzola. Mari interprets it as the dramatic and passionate musical atmosphere of Buenos Aires demands. It mobilizes our most hidden states of mind. A pity that there is only one recording of the winter. It would be a sonic delight to hear the four seasons.

oerlemans170 Piazzolla worked himself to death because of his passion for music, and it shows. He kept a life sized portrait of Bartok over his bed wherever he lived with the hope that he could live up to the standards of Bartok. Of course we now know that he far surpassed Bartok to become one of the great masters, of any time or place.

siiii increíble el sentimiento! Muchos extranjeros que quieren tocar a Piazzolla tocan todas la notas, pero con cero sentimiento, o por lo menos no siempre siento esa nostalgia tan propia del tango

It's one thing to watch a musician play an instrument well. It's a treat when you hear their instrument play them ! Such passion, and with eyes closed and the heart open.

She plays the violin so good. I'm in love with the piece of music and also with her. I hope I can enjoy her live performance one day.

ARREGLAZO! This is the best ensemble arrangement I ever heard of Piazzola's Invierno Porteño. @4:14 the orchestra is counterpointing with several measures of a Vivaldi-esque 'Summer' presto movement 'till @4:28. Very clever and intelligent. Mari Samuelsen playing is mesmerizing. Wonderful production.

El era escritor, orquestador, arreglador e interprete de su música y otros. !!!!!! Escribía los arreglos para todos los instrumentos que lo acompañaban (paino, violin, contrabajo, guitarra y por supuesto su Doble A !!!!! que músico !!!!!

Piazzola is a creater of Buenos Aires music,He associated His music,with the caracter of Buenos Aires.Tango was,only his inspiration to created such a wonderful music.Tango is not piazzolas Music.

Because he was constantly reaching for grandiosity without a proper foundation to build it on. Much of the non-tango melodies and elements are shamelessly copied from other traditions, too, and are merely patched into a hodgepodge of a self-bragging tapestry.
