I wont lie, I've been watching Guiu, he's an incredible talent, only 18, very tall and has the quality to be a top striker. obviously has some experience in the barca first team too. not too much of a risk considering his price too, has every potential for his market value to go up. not sure what he'd be like for us but we need to get used to whatever this ownership is doing with young players. if joe shields was the one who wants him, i trust him icl

Guiu deal is amazing 👏. I only watched him once for barca, and he was electric ,scored in like 23 seconds of his debut or something . + This is what it should cost for academy products: 6mil, not 40mil like for Duran .

tbh he wasn't picked to much by Xavi after that, but when he did he was dissapointing (other that one game in La liga and UCL). It is 50/50 tbh he was decent in Barca reserves but was not a best striker there. All in all decent potential but far from wonderkid status.

@@donmujtaba well that is true but still both Guiu and Roque were not great when they played ( yeah they did not played a lot), both are yound and need time to be ready for first team football in major league (they lacked mostly in technique and positioning department) mostly due to inexperience. Looking in retrospective Barca did bad deal buying Victor and not sticking to Guiu as our 3-4 th striker. Atleast with Xavi gone we have some hope for proper system implementation not outdated Tiki-Taka.

I honestly still feel Jackson spot shouldn't be tampered with in the front line. Honestly that guy just needs a little ups to do in his game in terms of finishing and except that, all round, I think Jackson is good. He totally didn't have a first bad season at Chelsea you'd agree. And he's still very young and the prime for most strikers often gets them to their 26, 27, 28 years... I feel Jackson would definitely come out really good pretty soon. Even next season under the new manager.

I'd prefer him on the left wing. His runs I feel are not right. When a ball is played in, he runs left and away from the goal and then has to shoot with his left foot from a wide angle.

Finishing is only one of the things Jackson needs to improve. More than anything we need to upgrade on the striker position if we want to move up the table next season. A player who can barely start for Senegal should never ever be first choice at a club like Chelsea.

Guiu actualy might be decent. At least he got minutes in LaLiga plus UCL and scored in both. 5mil is a good deal for an 18yrs old spanish U19 international. IMO Datro Fofana will be sold this summer if a club is willing to pay +20mil for him. Since we paid €10mil thats a nice little profit. Broja has some interest and should be sold this summer as well. I would send Casedai, Angelo(if Amori Hutchinson stays) and Washington to Strasburg. So we have 3 international loans left. Those should be carefuly decided after pre season tour. Depending on further incoming/outgoings.

Our team is already good enough to compete for top 4...I can take us signing exceptional signin like an olise..but ryt now that we have missed him..their is no need to move for average players..let's stick with wat we have

I think this Guiu kid might be a first team signing. I’m hearing people say that he’s ready for first team football. And I’ve always thought that key players staying fit is the key for this season. The way I’ve heard Maresca’s system be described, Nkunku is a fit for the striker role. A fit Nkunku could mean that we don’t need to bring in an experienced striker.

I don't know why people are making a big thing about Kellyman joining us for 19m and he's barely played for the Villa first team. We did the same thing two seasons ago with Chukwuemeka for 20m and he barely played for the Villa first team. No one questioned the signing then but everyone's jumping on the bandwagon now with the Kellyman deal. The Villa fans rated Kellyman highly and Villa priced him at 20m.

19m is a lot of money. Chukwuemeka came in before we’d spent the amount we have so the context / feeling is different. This was a PSR move clearly & we have a lot of players in this position already unlike when we signed Carney. Timing is everything.
