Your calm demeanor sure helps with a new mix of horses. The mares stayed quiet, and no kicking out at Smokey, they just seemed cautious. Of course, Bannock Bob was ever watchful but I think it’s all going to plan. Thanks for the update.

Smokey seems to know what to do. He is trying to make friends with Kay. Bob is a great stand in for a mother and he’s doing awesome as protecting Smokey. It seems to me that the horses know what to do to take care of each other and the herd. I think discussion about foal rejection in a wild herd would be interesting because it’s so hard to understand why a healthy foal like Smokey would be rejected

The only thing i hate about these videos is they stop😂. I love watching smokey such a pretty baby.

Cat has zebra, or Prezwalsky’s horse, mane right now.😂 Very cute. Bob really is a strikingly beautiful horse in markings, coloring, and his sweet, watchful personality. The mares are gorgeous, too, and of course, Smokey is so precious. Have you doused Bob with DMSO yet? I do it every night for some bad injuries I have, and even though it’s only supposed to be for animals, it really helps with pain and swelling.

Looking at the marking on bob’s face and smokey’s face there are some similarities…..have you noticed that?

It’s amazing how much Bob has taken to Smoky. Is that unusual or common for a male horse to take to a baby like that?

Many commenters seem to observe that many geldings are good at baby sitting.

There seems to be a volume issue on your recordings like this one. I have the volumn maxed but still tough to hear you? It's not all the time on your chalked just some videos. Love the mares & new filly Cat! Smokey is curious for sure!

This has nothing to do with this video but 2 years ago you had a " veral foal rescue"video.. the foal was stuck in mud and then hung up on roots of the tree, well on day 2 when they went back, did anyone notice the shadow man appear in the tree?
