The top kids today have several hundred matches under their belts by the time they graduate HS. I had a CAREER TOTAL of 150 matches and only retired at age 27 (my last year's record: 12-1). No wonder they are so advanced at such young ages.

Why that particular matchup? Basset has lost to a couple different HS Soph's over the past year.

@@Ten_da_art Yeah, it is...but Forrest is also SO good at turns, cradles and getting NF, he's never really out of a match.

Uhhh, not expose your back. Wrestling is all about GOOD POSITION and BAD POSITION. You're always going to be in more bad positions than good positions. The higher the level of competition you are in, the more you must CONSCIOUSLY stay out of bad positions. Two rules: 1. YOU MUST NOT BE TAKEN DOWN. 2. YOU MUST NOT BE HELD DOWN. Worst case scenario, the match ends in a tie. Once you can predictably do this, your confidence skyrockets & you are able to get in close enough to take your opponent down.
