A petition for a Marcus Aurelius movie to be made? This man was unarguably the greatest leader of ALL time. What a noble man!🗿🤴

I agree whole-heartedly! I also think it would be good to have Ryan Holiday involved in the writing and on site before and during production so that Hollywood gets it right (or as close as possible). It would be a major blockbuster!

If that’s the case, I would probably just go for a Netflix show instead cause I see it more so as a means of capturing his life in correlation with his meditations
I just discovered your channel recently and so glad I did. I'm a 60 year old depressed man with a lost soul and no direction. I'm just mentally tired of the ruminating thoughts of death and what my purpose here is on earth. Ironically, my name is Mark and my mother always called Marcus Aurelius growing up. I look forward to reading your books. Thank you.
"True value lies not in possessions or external achievements, but in the strength of character, the depth of wisdom, and the sincerity of one's heart." Embrace the Stoic path by cultivating virtues such as wisdom, courage, temperance, and justice. Focus on developing your inner qualities rather than chasing external validation. Through self-reflection, continuous learning, and practicing mindfulness, you'll gradually become more valuable in the Stoic sense.
A wonderful history lesson with context to really appreciate the self discipline, wisdom, and most importantly character of a man who pursued simplicity.
Stoicism has changed my life. I am so grateful I found this chanel earlier this year.

What do you think about the theme of "patience" in Stoicism? Let's discuss
The video was informative, although I miss your original voice. One of my favorites (among many) from Marcus Aurelius: "When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love."

@@TheNoColo I'm glad you find something from it for yourself. Thanks to Marcus Aurelius and the people who preserved his thoughts. I remind myself of this quote every morning. It's also helped to overcome my Anxiety.

We need a movie about Marcus Aurelius
Quality of these videos is insane!
Marcus Aurelius is indeed a LEGEND💪
The final shot, inspired by Red Dead Redemption 2, really packs a punch. Fantastic work as always! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for taking the time to make this bro, it really spoke to me
Thank you. I very much needed this video this morning. I watched it twice.
haha that rdr2 arthur like ending was a good touch
I absolutely love these videos Ryan. Your work as a whole. The last one you made had me bawling like a baby. They’re so emotional and cultivating. Cheers to you my friend.
Thanks so much. Great way to begin sunday morning.
Beautiful, thanks for sharing that amazing story.
Marcus Aurelius was the goat of all the Roman emperors.
The animation is amazing 🤩thank you
Thank you, thats just what i needed, I will continue to write - do what i know i need to do.
Beautiful. Great animations Ryan. A nice adjunct to reading a daily meditation from your translated collection At this very moment I can hear my challenging son. He promotes sadly currently negative emotions. But I know this, and all current moments will pass Memento Mori and Amor Fati
Amazing visuals!!!
What a mentor
Great video. Did you use a genAI voice-over clone of your voice or normal voice-over?

Sounds like AI. I prefer Ryan's real voice.
I love this video
We search records of history to find the 'ideal' leader. We are always disappointed to find even the best, showing afflictions of greed, hubris, arrogance, corruption, even among today's leaders. But in Marcus we find one that stands alone, who stands for everything we hold in veneration.
Great content
Great story Great lesson -
What we do now echoes in eternity - Marcus Aurelius
He bought together the ideal of humanity’s traits. Being in a position of such power where he could have acted and bought such destruction he chose to do good.
Love from India 🇮🇳
Amazing. How did you edit this video?
I would love to hear this in your own voice. This does not do justice to you or the audience. Remember the 3rd pillar of Stoicism 😊.

Excellent video. But what’s with the narration ????
Great content, but the delivery is monotone.
The voice seems... a bit off but it's okay if it really ai. I know using ai can be a great tool but I think it is better to use your real voice since it feels more genuine.
Whats everyone favorite quote of Marcus?

"Don't be ashamed to need help. Like a soldier storming a wall, you have a mission to accomplish. And if you've been wounded and you need a comrade to pull you up? So what?" another one i like is ""Practice really hearing what people say. Do your best to get inside their minds""

If we are comparing Aurelius to other emperors fine he’s was exemplary. But don’t for get that over 100 yrs 😢prior a man from from Judea who later revealed he was our Lord and Savior did miracles and wonder and changed the world forever. I think it’s no coincidence that Aurelius starts seeing the world and life in a better way. He essentially is promoting the Christian way of life
This audio is terrible to listen too. Is it ai? His audiobooks dont sound this robotic / boring lol

I think using AI as a tool is fine, but this is pushing it a little in my opinion. AI is at its best when it is not seen, when it is not known, when it is behind the scenes. Here, the AI is in full display and it took out too much of the human element for me. I appreciate the content though, just thought I'd offer some constructive criticism.

@@darlagrimsdell4649 For me, it's the voice that is more off-putting. It sounds like he trained his voice on an AI and fed that AI the script to read for him instead of recording his own voice for this video. If I'm being brutally honest, it comes off as lazy and careless to replicate ones own voice with AI instead of reading and recording the script. The AI took out all of the personality and the connection, it creates distance from the author, Ryan.

So sad
Oh my the narration lacks soul
maybe he should have done less philosophy and more making sure Commodus wasn't the next emperpr.
Very hard to listen, no emotion. Please do real voice overs, or get someone else to do the voice
Marcus believed in God. Jesus is the only way to eternal life. ✝️
