Thanks. I hope more native French speaking sports media etc. come on the show and are not apprehensive due to their discomfort in speaking English. It is never as 'bad' as they think and always interesting to hear their perspective.

The Rocket goal tending at the biginning of the season was awful... this is when they lost a playoff spot. Blaming Houle for the last two games lost is a lame argument. Only when Armia, Roy and Xhekaj played did they become a strong team. Kudos to Gignac, Maillet, Mailloux and Condotta who were the spine of this team all year long. JF Houle did a great job under another Habs rebuilt year.

Our system is clearly lacking up and coming centres ( I don't think Owen Beck and Mesar are the answer) Laval to me was weak at centre and the problem was not addressed.

I never undestood why Laval didn't have their own G.m. like the Syracuse Crunch did for example. I see the team being much more competitive now that they assigned John Sedgwick as G.M.

Habs management is to blame for Laval not making it. They decided to bring up Roy and keep Struble when clearly those guys were needed in Laval. They put them in the last 2 games and what do really expect ?? All the fault is with Habs mis- management. Hopefully they learn a lesson for next year.

The Habs are guilty of placing development of youngsters over winning in the AHL. Their argument has some validity but so does yours. I think they could have helped Laval at the end, but they chose putting in kids over AHL vets that could have gotten them into the playoffs. They might have screwed up but Laval success or failure is not high on the Habs lists of needs.

@@allankatz4495 I think those young players could have helped Laval while developing at the same time while playing meaningful minutes and games.

Laval rockets is really important . That’s the building of the foundation. They got to put top notch coaching staff and develop a winning culture (by Making the playoff + Winning the cup !) To conclude , the Laval rockets got a bigger role than people think and it’s been a while since the habs AHL team didn’t win a trophy. Time for a change !

The laval rockets needs a “Mike keane”. Amazing leader in the nhl, Stanley cup winner. After his nhl career, played in the ahl well into his 40’s. Was there to shoulder the young players.

Agreed with Norlinder, but how come neither one of you called out Roy ? After his great start around 15 games in he wasn't as noticeable and shouldn't have been called up, but looked good in the NHL. Roy got sent back down and he sucked. Got called up and looked good. Got sent down for that 1 game and you can say he was just coming back from an injury, but he was once again invisible.
