In Eurovision all singers should sing in their mother language. If all sing in English it' a British Song contest. Different Countries, different cultures. W diversity.

@Sabrina Filiputti Countries are allowed to not sing in their mother language because many of them would be disadvantaged if they did. Languages like Italian are "privileged" by being pleasant to listen to, but objectively: if Germany, Denmark, Sweden etc...were forced to sing in their own language they might lose many points cause many consider their languages really ugly. I'm more likely to like a song if the language it's in doesn't hurt my brain lol.

Real music is created when you don't understand a word and still feel what the artist wants to express.❤❤❤

they dipped from the competition for 13 years, which included some weaker winners so I feel pretty sure Italy would have picked up some wins in the 2000's. but Italy is definitely gunning for that record, we'll probably see another win in the next 3-5 years. lets just hope they can host it a little more smoothly lol

Just saw Eurovision 2023 here on KZread. I'm a nobody from Asia but I'd say this is the most beautiful song in the whole competition. Probably the most beautiful I have heard in this current decade.

His reaction at the end is everything.

In between all these colours and extroverted personalities, marco looks very pure and grounded. He showed real emotions during his performance and was always surrounded by such a warm aura. 🇮🇹❤🇩🇪

Italy holds the quality Eurovision needs. I wish they never withdrew from the contest (again). And Italian is so beautiful, this language is made for singing.

The real winner 🇮🇹 Marco is the most beautiful male voice we have in Italy, he is known as a very sweet, sensitive and emotional guy, which makes him even more special. Experts call him an alien, because what he does with his voice doesn't sound out of this world, it's very difficult for a human being to do, he has perfect technique and he can play with his voice by changing it rapidly during the song. Here he was very excited, sometimes his voice and hands trembled, but this makes everything more beautiful and true, it reaches into everyone's hearts. The songs presented in Sanremo are meant to be the best Italian song and not for Eurovision, where a different style often prevails (funny/trash songs), but this is real music and above all it's not a copy like the song that won 🤦‍♀️ The song is about the inner conflict we all struggle with, that's why he feels the song very much in his heart while singing it. The text speaks of two parts of the same person, the conscious and the unconscious that talk to each other, the life of dreams that collides with that of reality (just "Due vite", "two lives"). Truly a deep and emotional meaning, a beautiful music that together with the text take the audience into a dreamlike scenario. Furthermore Marco is an excellent interpreter, this makes the difference and makes this song perfect, because he transmits all the emotions to the audience that watches and listens to him, even to a foreign audience that does not understand the Italian language and this says everything about what a great artist is Marco.

Yep, not my type of song, didn't at all enjoy it at first but when he was done I wanted him to win. It was so heartfelt and real, regardless of taste, anyone can relate to this pure emotion.

Marco Mengoni stole my heart this year. The amount of passion he conveys through his voice is palpable, even if I don't understand everything he's singing. He was definitely one of the best, if not the best, singer of Eurovision 2023. 🇳🇱🤍🇮🇹

Sometimes, you just gotta have a solid Italian ballad, and that's exactly what this is. Marco Mengoni's emotion is so palpable, and I was really happy that Italy did so well.

In my opinion Italy was the best this year. Actually, Italian language and music are making magic! Bravo

Almost every professional singer has got emotional more than once but they control it because they are professional. Don't think for a moment that if a singer doesn't show it then he/she is not emotional and authentic!

There's a certain nuance between athletics and art on a stage. Athletes also get emotional during performances, but there's no artistic content in sport, just saying. You want to defend cold artists, but they do exist, that's beyond doubt, and some of them got many fans, that's not a secret.

Italy were definitely my winners this year! His voice is just amazing😍there is so much heart and feeling in his voice and he has such a beautiful tone. Plus I love that there were no flashing lights, fancy sets or distractions just a man with a beautiful voice singing wonderfully.❤❤❤

When Marco sings, it seems that he does it just for you.

Simply stunning, such a beautiful song, incredible vocal technique and an incredibly handsome man. He makes me think of a roman gladiator. I have listened to this song at least 50 times. The Eurovision made a bad decision.

I'm listening this song from the begining to the end and later again from begining to the end.. and again and again. I think no proper note , no word to express how amazing and perfect is this song. If perfection has limit , he was more than perfect in this performance. Greetings from Poland - for me Italy is winner 💗
