I love how Gordon Ramsay has a very vibrant excited way of speaking and animating when ever you see him cook and explain things. Conversely I love watching Marco stare the people interviewing him in the eye, with no emotion on his face. Answering with blunt short statements, not really explaining himself.

Marco has always struck me as one of the best chefs- with the dexterity and yet, apparent carelessness with which he does everything, and the simplicity of the dishes. He's like, "look, it's a butter tomato-puree sauce with salmon confit, what else do you need? It's fucking delicious." And then half-asses the plating, without any extraneous weird shit like gold or needless herbs you're not going to eat

@@dorsetlassthe only reason he would have been at a stove in Harvey’s was because the kitchen staff was too small for him to solely focus on the final plating at the pass. It’s extremely normal then and now for the executive chef to do very little cooking during the average shift.

The stare he gives her at 6:17 and again at 6:22. Actually, the entire exchange from 6:10 to 6:53, makes me think of Hannibal Lecter deciding he detests somebody and that he's going to eat them. I worked with an autistic lad who Marko knew and he got him a job and called him nearly everyday asking how he was getting on all because he just wants to teach people. talk shit but he's the kind of chef every other chef should stride to be,because its about teaching other people what u know so the customers have a great plate of food and the chef feels proud about it

This is the exact way Ramsay filets fish. Just superbly masterful in the cut, zero waste, effortless, remains whole, and with hearing the little ticks of the knife hitting the spine all the way down. It’s NOT how they teach you to filet fish in culinary school. It’s an original technique. Most assuredly one that Ramsay learned from MPW.

You develop a tolerance to onions after prolonged exposure to them. I was a cook once and had to cook with onions daily, which inevitably meant cutting hundreds of them up each day. After a while it doesn't really affect you anymore.

The fishing part shows marco is an average man who enjoys the little things more than anything else. It teaches you that even though you think youre mundane and boring you could possibly achieve whatever youve aspired towards. Marco is more than a chef, hes a life coach too.

The ones shown in this video are Villeroy & Boch “Basket” dinnerware designed in 1973. Villeroy still makes a variant called “Garden Basket” which has the same lattice design on the edges, but they also have artwork in the middle depicting a fruit bouquet.

I love how Gordon Ramsay has a very vibrant excited way of speaking and animating when ever you see him cook and explain things. Conversely I love watching Marco stare the people interviewing him in the eye, with no emotion on his face. Answering with blunt short statements, not really explaining himself.

@@dorsetlassthe only reason he would have been at a stove in Harvey’s was because the kitchen staff was too small for him to solely focus on the final plating at the pass. It’s extremely normal then and now for the executive chef to do very little cooking during the average shift.
The stare he gives her at 6:17 and again at 6:22. Actually, the entire exchange from 6:10 to 6:53, makes me think of Hannibal Lecter deciding he detests somebody and that he's going to eat them. Does anybody know what happened to the journalist? I imagine she found her way onto the plates of the Harvey's clientele.

This is the exact way Ramsay filets fish. Just superbly masterful in the cut, zero waste, effortless, remains whole, and with hearing the little ticks of the knife hitting the spine all the way down. It’s NOT how they teach you to filet fish in culinary school. It’s an original technique. Most assuredly one that Ramsay learned from MPW.

You develop a tolerance to onions after prolonged exposure to them. I was a cook once and had to cook with onions daily, which inevitably meant cutting hundreds of them up each day. After a while it doesn't really affect you anymore.

The ones shown in this video are Villeroy & Boch “Basket” dinnerware designed in 1973. Villeroy still makes a variant called “Garden Basket” which has the same lattice design on the edges, but they also have artwork in the middle depicting a fruit bouquet.

That's probably why he seems so frustrated with her. Her questions are stupid. At one point in this show he actually goes off on her and refuses to answer her questions correctly lol.
