I've heard a lot of guitar players over the years, but I don't think I've ever come across anyone who is a flat-out master of it. Simply an amazing performance of a Beethoven classic.

He possesses dynamic and dazzling virtuosity, a uniquely percussive style - “I use the body of my guitar to produce kicks, snares, scratches” - and awe-inspiring ingenuity as an arranger and producer across multiple styles and genres. So it is little surprise that Sony Music Masterworks signed young Polish guitarist Marcin almost immediately upon hearing him. Now, for his eagerly anticipated first single on the label, the 19-year-old guitar superstar releases his own innovative arrangement of the first and third movements of Beethoven’s famous ‘Moonlight Sonata’.

I have cheap dollar store headphones and it STILL, sounds outstanding. Just discovered him about an hour or so ago, and I'm simply, utterly, floored. His music is ABSOLUTELY, DIVINE!
There's absolutely nobody behind him . Just one genius!!!
Everyone says that there is more than one instrument - aside from the clapping, there is only one. He's amazing!
To think he DIDN'T win AGT!!!!.....shows how crazy the world is!
All sound in all his clips you hear he makes at the same time while playing, except the obvious ones like clapping. His skills allow him to play bass line, melody line and rythm at the same time, on top of that he adds percussive sounds with his right hand fingers and palm. Yes, a normal human being would need probably like 6 hands to do that normally. He is the best guitarist you've ever heared, because he is the best in the world. He is like a savant, he started at age 10, by 15 he was playing the hardest songs ever composed like Tommy Emmanuel's songs, he graduated musical classical school with a perfect score, and on top of that learned with the best percussive and flamenco teachers in the world, has contract with Sony Music, has his own signature guitar with Ibanez, he is touring the world and played at The Royal Albert Hall with orchestra. He is composing his own music, and invented his own style that no one is able to replicate, and he is now only 22. Definetely check his other performances, they are mind blowing.
That’s just him…… thats the amazing thing. He’s just that good

He plays all the parts at once including bass, percussion rhythm, melody harmony's...ect ect
He's a genius
Pozdrawiam
I love that you provide final thoughts rather than abrupt ending with "like and subscribe". Peace and love, sir!
I'm a guitarist and vocalist, just to qualify my opinion. Marcin is the greatest living guitarist and maybe the best there's ever been.

Alexandr Misko was better early on and has great potential, but he turned to more experimental and progressive style now. He's not progressing necessarily on normal guitar skills now I think.
It was all him. Listen to his other performances. Out of this world!
That’s just him. The Maestro is killer. Untouchable. Thanks for your great comments!❤️😎🎸
Beethoven's 5th Symphony on one guitar by Marcin. It is a must to watch.
Try "master of puppets" by Marcin

You know what I like the most of Marcin's playing? He is bringing so called "classical" music back to common people. Probably most of them would never listen to the Bach, Mozart, Chopin. But with that kind of perfomance it's at least a chance they will hear that and appriciate buty of that music.
Thank you for your reaction to Marcin. He is a phenomenal guitarist and a brilliant arranger and plays everything from classical to rock, and also has his own beautiful compositions. He was only 19 when he did this, if you can believe it (he’s 21 now). And he has played with an orchestra, most recently at the the Royal Albert Hall in London earlier this year and also at some festivals in Poland. You are correct about the video, there is some bass in the background. It’s a pedal effect that takes the lowest note he plays on the guitar and plays it one octave lower. The rest is all him. Technically the whole thing is him because he is also an excellent producer, and depending on the track he’s playing there are varying levels of production in the background, or none at all, but there is never any overdubbing on the guitar itself. I belong to his Patreon and he plays live all the time and sounds just as incredible live as on any video. I hope you react to him again. Everything on his channel is mind blowing.

Yes sir, he plays alone just... in a different dimension than you ever heard...
I am sooo glad you've discovered Marcin. One of the most talented musicians I've seen. Especially from someone so shockingly young!
He has done some interviews and is now age 22. He started at age 10. This is about age 15. He and Ibanez have teamed up to build a signature guitar. His new sound I growing with his age - his talent is remarkable. He is the only creator of the sounds. He has a scratch pad added for more.
Witam w świecie Marcina😃

👍👍👍 Amazing guitarist 🔥🔥🔥
Marcin is like one from the God for other classic guitar players. He can play every competition but other never can good replay him. He played on one guitar but sounds like using 2-3 guitar
Loved your reaction, welcome to Marcin's universe! Please, keep reacting to him, try Master of Puppets, Baba Yaga (his composition) and so many others...
Marcin has played with a "full orchestra" at the Famous Royal Albert Hall. Check him out, he plays many of his arrangements at one time!!!
It impossible to do that by ordenary guitarist, amazing
Marcin arranged and performed his phenomenal Master of Puppets at age 17. Other favorites of mine are his Paganini Caprices 24 and 5. His Bach Toccata which he performed at Royal Albert Hall in London this year, also amazing! Love this genius, humble, sweet-spirited nd gracious young man. Kudos again, Maestro. :-)) This his Moonlight Sonata also a huge fave--7.6M views on YT in 2 years! :-))

Good finger so fast & amazing
He was an amazing child prodigy classical guitarist. But he felt too constrained so went off with his own style switching to steel string guitar and his percussive use of the guitar. He has a technique few finger style guitarist have; use of tremolo and incredibly fast linear playing. A true genius. Hope you will feature him again. For more modern music check out his arrangement of Metallicas Master of Puppets.
The man gives me chills. Thanks for the review. I was raised in the 70s and recently rediscovered classical music because it is called elitist and that other word. Played well, it is really good. He plays well.
mr, realise he is the gratest
PS you said that you do not understand how brain can work that fast in this calm state ...here is a truth, brain can work that fast only in absolute peace of mind state, with no interuptions it is like just being this moment itself and it translate to all music acting etc. We all call it GENIUS.
I recommend you Marcin , Chopin ,Nocturne (Op;9 Nr 2) !
Marcin is Polish and trained in classical and flamenco guitar. He is gifted. Off the the charts talented. His playing notes left handed from the the neck of that Ibanez acoustic is insane. Listen to his cover of Led Zepplin’s Kashmir. It’s sick! He is recording at Royal Albert Hall with the London Symphony Orchestra.
He did play with a full orchestra in London and it was fantastic. Hope you find it as you explore the world of Marcin.
Marcin to geniusz gitary, posłuchaj jego wykonania Still dre ,Kashmir, Beethoven 5 symfonia itd
I hope you'll react to Led Zep's Kashmir cover.
Tak, to tylko on i jego gitara :), która dla Marcina jest nie tylko gitarą, ale i perkusją.

Not true. I can play a couple of his arrangements. Including this one and it does has some adding effects
Marcin played with philharmonics orchestra in Royal Albert Hall, London in 2022. I don't think he played this piece, though, which is a shame. That would be perfect.
Maestro Marcin..!! 🎼🎵🎶🇵🇱
He add something in post production. For sure. But his live steams proof that he is really soooo great. I like watch this the most. Edit he do - For Elise - also grea
You should definetely watch his other clips. For me the best is Paganini Caprice no. 5 and Led Zeppelin Cashmir cover
It’s an ecoustic guitar that’s why it sounds so rich.
Seeing his Polish name 'Marcin', read this: [MART-sin] with the accent on the first syllable and your pronunciation will be very close to the way we say his first name in Polish. / Through his interpretations and arrangement of the classis music, not neceserily written for the guitar, he brings back the classics from the almost forgotten past and make it excited to hear and watch him playing. I think we all are blessed listening to and seeing this young guitarist, since in my opinion we feel like those whe have heard young Mozart, Paganini, Chopin and other giants of the classical music. May God bless him and leads him safely to the musical greatness to the benefit of humanity.
It was all him, the percussion too, no over-dubbing! By the way he’s been playing 7 or 8 years, pretty good for a novice huh!
Szok odsluchaj wiecej jego nagran a doznasz czegos wiecej zapewniam....😇

yeah its just him which makes it even more crazy
Great speach!!!!!
Flamenco - the ultimate guitar genre. I'm guessing this kid had a guitar in his hands by age 5... along with a lot of time on his hands as well. The strength in the fingers of that left hand is phenomenal. The muscle memory is apparent.
The man picks with both hands.....while doing percussion.......I mean.....
It's All him!
Please listen to more Marcin! Everything he plays is fabulous!
just ONE guitar. Speed and precision overlays of the notes to make it seem as if it is two guitars. It is pure original genius.
A very nice reaction, my sub. Hope to see more of your reactions to Marcin....
I love his talent, amazing. One question I have is how he gets the string back in tune after he loosens it to get the effect near the end of the piece. Does he wait to the end so it doesn't get used again, or is he so talented he can hear it is back in tune in seconds?
@ModernLifeForThe70sMind

I'm pretty sure that he has a good enough ear to where he can pull it back to where it should be. Pretty amazing stuff.
All him..genius
👍😍👍
You should check out his Paganini caprice #5 and #24.Literally anything by him is phenomenal.I've watched a lot of acoustic guitarists on KZread and he outshines all of them, but thats my opinion. All of them have their strong points but he's the best for me.
Marcin is pronunced Marchin. He combines classical, flamenco and tapping styles to make a sound that is quite unique. That method of retuning a string while playing is more often heard in bluegrass music. His improvisation is more like jazz in a way.

Yes. And the more I watch Marcin, he plays guitar as if it's a piano. I think that's why we can hear the bass and melody at the same time, only that with d guitar Marcin can also drumming. It's like hearing d whole band or orchestra. Genius kid. I love him
He is mesmerizing to watch and listen to . Starting following him a few years ago
WOWZA!!! So talented. Loved it. And yes, I put my earbuds in and that really made a difference. I'm the only one in the house that doesn't have headphones, but that's okay. These work great.

❤️❤️❤️
You are correct in that he does add some electronica to parts of the piece, but it is him still playing the guitar like no one else can.
You are absolutely right. What process runs in his brain to let him play like this. It leads to a question.. Is he human? Like him, you can listen to a brasilian guitarrist called Yamandu Costa.

marcin's learned techniques (classical, flamenco, percussive fingerstyle) combined with either relative/perfect pitch which he developed for years playing the guitar. a great ear is all you need to cover a song, technique is what you need to add style.
He plays with a split signal. One goes to compression and eq then to the regular amp and the other has a notch filter removing all of the notes above 150 - 200hz then it goes through a boss oc-5 pedal and then a bass amp.
Michele Vioni (professional name Dr Viossy) arranged the 3rd Movement for 2 electric guitars plus drums. He put up a KZread in 2011 of himself playing the lead part on camera, with the backing tracks already recorded. Worth a listen. In 2016, 17-year-old Tina Setkic did a KZread of herself playing the same lead arrangement and using the same backing tracks. She uses a hairband at the top of the fretboard so that open strings are muted. Her version sounds essentially identical to Dr Viossy's. Worth a listen, too. that was the last vid she did before "retiring."
Dude its him I'm stupefied also
There's a lot of production behind Marcin on this performance. (That's why he's in different places!) But aside from overdubbing the hand clapping, it's all him. I'm assuming that he uses a unique tuning in order to produce some bass sounds, along with everything else he does!
I think he played alone nobody can accompany him in this live play it is fast
Good night and good day to you. Sebastian from Poland. Good save THE UKRAINE
There"s one tik-tok video were he wets his hands before he plays at that rate/tempo. Someone commented he does that so the guitar doesn't heat up -n-catch on fire!!!????!!!! Just imagine him on the Electric!!????!!!
@lx4302

that was a joke because millenials like saying 🔥🔥when something is really good
There is some base and some sounds added as this is musical production but every note you hear which sound like goutar and percusion is him.
chyba dźwięk mu nie przeszkadza…geniusz gitary...
This is a cleaned up studio version he has the clapping overlay but besides that it's all him.

@ModernLifeForThe70sMind Absolutely, I grew up with Morton subotnick ( The father of synthetic or computer made music, and the first person to have a vinyl record, Silver Apples of the Moon pressed, you can check hiw wiki out ), as my great uncle and his sister, my grandmother a concert pianist who graduated Juilliard at the age of 17. Learning to play piano from her was stupid. But, eventually ended up learning 9 instruments. So, I guess something rubbed off. But, man I've got to work hard for all of it. And then this guy shows up and I feel I should start all over.
