When I was in 8th grade (9 years ago), we had done so many band competitions but my teacher wanted us to try to squeeze one more concert to send the 8th graders off to high school. I was percussion, and most of us had our parts down, some woodwinds, and maybe a trombone or two, but ultimately we ran out of time and didn’t get to perform this. The fact that I came back to this after all these years shows how great this arrangement is. This would’ve been the best song we ever played😂

@@jack-sm7jy I actually got time to reply XD Ight to roll is going ti be a small challenge especially since I cant show you I can only text. But what you want to do is have a little pinch on the fulcrum of the stick to give a little tension. Then your going to add a little flick with your back fingers as if you were dribbling the stick. If you do it right you will get two quick hits called a diddle. Sound alike a "dudu" if you got good chops you can do it with your wrist aswell. Then you will want to practice with both hands diddling then trying to make both hands diddle sound consistent. A good exercise for this is something called chicken and a roll which I'm sure you can find a video on KZread about it. It's what got me to my rolls

My band teacher said that I was on the line, and that he could have gone concert of symphonic either way. He ended up choosing concert because he though that symphonic might be too much. Turns out they played this song, And I was pretty sad that I cant play it, cuz its an awesome song. We are currently playing Crest of Nobility, Into the Arctic (My favorite and also written by Brian Balmages, and Darklands March.

    >Be me, Musical try hard >Is assigned tuba > Joins school's junior band > Music isn't so hard > Is given this > Other tuba player (really good, over 4 yrs of exp) sees score > Says: "oh shit" > Never had any other reaction to sheet music Mfw an experienced band member is intimated

I played this my 9th grade year, and the other bass clarinet didn't want to learn bass and so I basically did a solo by myself. My band director conducted me wrong and he panicked because I didn't come in when he said to, but I came in correctly. Ever since then I've loved Marche Diabolique with all my heart ❤

I love this song way too much. Specifically the clarinets at the beginning. And, since I’m biased, the French horn solo riff thing. You know what I’m talking about. 0:37. Then later there’s a lower version.

Clarinet is really fun with this music. It may get a little “boring” because it’s the same pattern for a lot of the song but you get thrown some curveballs in there. We’ve only had the music for maybe a week, but we are already excelling with it. Lol we had to teach a section member some fingerings for the lower notes as he does better with higher notes and because he refused to look them up lol.
