That skit and in particular the "he just like to jump" line was one of my favourite lines in recent history of SNL. I absolutely had to share it with all of my friends who work as teachers, they all know dozens of parents who say things like that.

@@cicalinarrot I worked in sketch comedy long ago. Call what the writers and performers are doing "skits" and you will get clocked in the head. The word skit implies frivolous and not well thought out. Sometimes, dictionary definitions do not suffice.

The one where writers have to come out with ideas very quickly, actors (sometimes non-professional actors) have less than a week to study, read from a teleprompter and are allowed to break character, improvise and laugh? "Skit" fits perfectly here. It wouldn't for some of the most complex bits or for digitl shorts but it surely does here and that's why it's very commonly use to talk about SNL with absolutely no mean intent. Are they frivolous? Of course, with rare exceptions. Are they non-well-thought-of? Yes, in an absolute sense, not for their category.

Finally, diverse representation not only physically but also in the language being used in SNL. Thank you, Marcello!

SNL has a LONG history of having problems with Latinos. He is only the third Latino on the show and the other two had the least airtime ever. Melissa Villasenor was hilarious and under utilized.

I got choked up when he dedicated thanks to his Mom. He is definitely one of my favorite new cast members, he's so funny! Way to represent Miami to the fullest.

This guy has so much confidence for someone just starting out in his career, and he seems like he's got a good head on his shoulders too. Seth's first time on a talk show was on Conan O'Brien's show, and it's really sweet to watch him do the same for another new SNL cast member, and I think Marcello has a long career ahead of him too,

Parents have been teaching Gen Z to have the "it" factor. But honestly they went a little overboard with it.

Marcello's mum seems so funny based purely on her facial expressions whenever they cut to her. What a great family!

I literally ADORE him, his personality, his vibe, and his humor. Such a good addition to the SNL cast fr!

The "defiantly bilingual" episode of SNL (as The Atlantic called it) was brilliant, perfecto, bound to be a classic! Bad Bunny turns out to be natural actor (as well as real easy on the eyes), and Marcello's scripts were hilarious. The sketches without subtitles didn't need them, though I re-watched them with closed caption just to get all the Spanish. Great work by SNL's costume and props people, as always (a live turkey and a llama!). Oh, and Marcello is just adorable -- great SNL casting addition. I look forward to more Spanish and Spanglish bits.

Ever since his 1st Weekend Update feature as José Suarez and the Chancleta bit (not mentioned in this interview but hugely funny as well), I was hooked and got my whole Cuban-American family hooked on him, including my 10 year-old nephew, who adorably started emulating his sketches, not to mention as an avid soccer player, after finding out Marcello had almost gone pro, my nephew found his new idol :)

He's so funny, adorable and such a great addition to SNL!!
