Marc is such a great guest, I've noticed he hasn't been crossing over as much the past few years but it's cool to see him take a break from his format every now and then. I hope he comes on often, Rick and Marc have an awesome dynamic
I seem to think this fairly often about the pod, but I genuinely feel like this might be the best (top 5 for sure) episode/interview/upload I've watched yet. Very unexpected chemistry between you and Marc from what I might've expected heading into it, but after watching the two of you together for 2mins the dynamic started to make perfect sense. Really hope this is a semi-regular "collab" going forward, and credit to the authenticity of you/the pod for not settling into the typical [so and so is making their rounds on comedy pods, so I guess I'll interview them for some easy branding] formula. Between Maron, your uncle Teddy and father, Lamorne, Larry Charles, Dax, etc... the one consistent factor to TYSO seems to be that it's always centered around some form of thoughtful deep dive into how people conceive comedy, and just create or interpret things in general. And, IMO, I think that's what podcasting is all about! Thank you for the content!!!

This is such an underrated episode in podcast history. The conversational clash is really great.
“I kept going? What did I.. What did I?”, Marc questioned shyly but proudly with a smirk. Loll
Rick gauges people on if they do mustache bits with him lol
I’m really glad you were able to get goofy with Marc. I don’t know if I’ve seen that side of him. Loved it
As much as this episode made me laugh, it was honestly just so sweet to see how you two got along.
Rick, this is the best interview with Marc I’ve ever seen, well done man, keep it up.
“Why don’t you throw the bricks at them?” is the perfect Maron response to that brick/ material building metaphor.
I’m only 20 min in, and 6 months late, but this is either a time machine where Marc is interviewed by his younger self, or the moment Rick meets his dad for the first time after a DNA test. Amazing👼🏻

I spent hours- honestly days- after the Whiskey Ginger podcast trying to figure out who this guy is. From "is he... a fraud or a maniac?" To "oh, you're a very thought out individual with some quirks and A LOT of gags- also a great actor". I am subscribed now. Best luck my dude your editing is good (when it works with the guests) and you're definitely unique and have talent.
This episode is absolutely hysterical. I adore Marc and seeing the chemistry between these two was epic.
Been a WTF'r for many years, and a grown ass goblin since the very beginning. U 2 are two of my favorites(Bobby Lee too). I loved this episode so phucking much fellas! My two favorite Jews ...you guys could be big brother...little brother. Great repore!
Rick is seriously the most charismatic underrated comic/entertainer.
love this whole vibe - Rick you finally just flat out saying I like you so much and then Marc explaining "that's joy" is pure love
I appreciate the subtle editing making my life easier
This one is GOLD!
Love this ep man. Oh and I love watching more than just listening because of all the work you do in the edits... but you shouldn't be killing yourself over it. You rock man
I love this podcast, ripping through some of these older episodes- really enjoyed this one
I ordinarily just listen to these but this I had to watch because Marc has such a good face. Great interview too.
You get so many great guests for such a small podcast. I really hope it explodes soon.
This is my second favorite after Tony Hinchcliffe. Rick is great with mild confrontation.
Really enjoy how you often doing fun and unique things with your podcast videos. All the extra edits/text/images/animations take it to the next level.
This is one of my favorite podcast episodes ever. I loved this! Mad I just found it!
Yoo Rick...thanks for the content. Huge get with Maron...but can't wait for Mark Normand..good shit man!!!!!

I love Marc Maron. I’m a new fan of Rick’s. I appreciate this conversation so much. It was so genuine and comfortable. 10/10

nice! and normand next! already excited
Great episode. This was even better than I hoped it’d be.
I’m just here cuz Rick’s fly is down.
This is by a long shot the best episode. You two are hilarious together.

Also, TRUST ME the video is worth every god damn second of editing time and scrutiny Rick. Also my apologies for utilizing a reference to god in a heretic and/or sacrilegious manner--it is merely to aid with tonality-conveyance.

that ending put a big smile on my face
Holy shit this was good. I feel like this interview just did for TYSO what Louis C.K’s interview did for W.T.F.
Wow you are criminally under-subscribed. Keep at it dude, you are killing it!
Thank you for not piling on the Adam Carolla stuff Marc was hyper focused on. You’ve always been 100% genuine and fair and it’s appreciated Rick.
Love how Marc took his foot off the couch when Rick brought up his OCD. S'respectful

46:40-48:22 I've been watching on and off depending on the guest for a few months. This is the BEST fucking run of bits that I've seen in maybe 15-20 episodes
The Bobby Lee episode brought me here. The Nerdy hack comedy keeps me coming back. Keep up the good work Rick!!
The blendy jump cuts are dope. You’re a great editor.
I’m so pumped for this
this is an amazing episode!
Came here from Marc's mention of TYSO on their podcast and at first I was put off by the girlfriend story and was readying myself to just tolerate this Rick character and tune out a bit while chewing on my nails. But over the course of the conversation I realised you were not who I thought you were and that in fact you are a good egg. I haven't checked out any of the other interviews or anything else you have done yet but I am excited to. I like the way you show interest in people. I like the amount you talk about yourself. Towards the end with the deep dive both of you were reaching profundity and vibing and committing to explaining and showing how you think. That was great. Thank you for creating a conversation that was good and real parasocial company. (about the dick girlfriend joke at the beginning I want to say that I was put off by it because it is hard to read your tone and judge what you are presenting as funny in the scenario when this is the first thing I see of you.)

Eon Sound Nope! It was 3 months ago though. He barely mentioned him, just a plug.
This is, honestly, the best episode of TYSO.
I’m coming to this episode after hearing you tell Mary Shenouda that Marc Maron was on the podcast. Very interesting to hear all of the food problem talks all the way back here!
This podcast is great for many reasons!
“Like what!?” I’m angry and I need to know! I love Marc. I really love seeing him on other people’s podcasts. Thanks.
This podcast changed my perspective on Marc. Him and Rick aren’t technically “friends” and Maron is already well established. He really didn’t have to do it and probably didn’t want to at first, but he did. Pretty cool
Rick! This episode was so good! Have fun in Lawndun town!
Most likely nobody will read this, and I’ll cut it short, but Rick really just breaks the fourth wall. Not many people in any industry do it like him.

What an excellent episode. Great work.

the fact this has been out over half a year and is still under 100k is MADNESS!

Came back to rewatch this one!
One of the best intros I have seen in some time right here :-)
that was fantastic!!
Just got my girlfriend a Goblin sweater for Valentine's Day. Not bothered at all by the sliver of red chair in the bottom left of the intro. Love your stuff!
I imagined this would be an hour of "are we good?" And "so, who are your guys?"
This was a really good one!
Think I may have found a new pod! Loving this one so far and got the Normand ep cued up next
That was very entertaining !
Love this ep
"Pass me the rock its my therapy." This podcast is part of my therapy. I listened through this whole podcast probably ten times at least. I'll put it on when I work, it helps me count the hours, or like if I drank too much caffeine and need to chill, or like need something on but don't want to get too distracted, like it's such a good podcast I'm able to enjoy it over and over and since it's not new at this point it's enjoyable without being distracting. Anyway what I'm trying to say is great work
This is a fantastic episode!
camera editing is superb
