In the end of the video he gives a site for the instructions. Bravo on your diy build. Looks like it works well. I like the chain idea as well as the wooden fittings. You can really see the level of understanding you have for the tool and the medium. I have built my own faceting machine for cutting gemstones and its cool to see other folks handy homemade contraptions working like a charm.

Damn, that's creative. Especially the use of the chain to pull the fluid up from the pan.

Thanks. Similar mashine I've seen before but good idea to use a chain for feeding and using step motors as low speed power

the max size sphere you can make with this, what adjustments can you make to this to make larger spheres? what adjustments would you make to this given your experience with this piece of equipment.

When those motors get to moving back and forth in sort of a wave is that due to the marble being less that perfectly spherical or does that not affect it being true?

Beyond your other comments and questions, I am NOT a DIYer. I am however an avid marble collector, trader, seller. I invest in many of the modern machine made marble runs. A number of them turn out...shall we say... not perfect. A little work on your machine would turn them into....OH MY GOODNESS!!! Would you consider building one of these for sale? I am interested in cup sizes from 1/2" to 1&1/2". I hope to hear from you......

which direction are each of these rotors turning in? .. and does direction of rotation matter in this set up? ..

The motors must all turn in the same direction. If you choose to use pipe fittings as presented here, then you must have them turning clockwise to keep the fittings from unscrewing.
