In the end of the video he gives a site for the instructions. Bravo on your diy build. Looks like it works well. I like the chain idea as well as the wooden fittings. You can really see the level of understanding you have for the tool and the medium. I have built my own faceting machine for cutting gemstones and its cool to see other folks handy homemade contraptions working like a charm.
Damn, that's creative. Especially the use of the chain to pull the fluid up from the pan.
Great video. I'm looking to make my own and use it to make jade beads for bangle bracelets.
I make marbles but want one of these, this loks like a fun little unit. Thanks for sharing.
Very neat!! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks. Similar mashine I've seen before but good idea to use a chain for feeding and using step motors as low speed power
the max size sphere you can make with this, what adjustments can you make to this to make larger spheres? what adjustments would you make to this given your experience with this piece of equipment.
When those motors get to moving back and forth in sort of a wave is that due to the marble being less that perfectly spherical or does that not affect it being true?
What site was it again that you found the plans?
Thanks for that. Wonder approximately what RPM the machine is running at?
Beyond your other comments and questions, I am NOT a DIYer. I am however an avid marble collector, trader, seller. I invest in many of the modern machine made marble runs. A number of them turn out...shall we say... not perfect. A little work on your machine would turn them into....OH MY GOODNESS!!! Would you consider building one of these for sale? I am interested in cup sizes from 1/2" to 1&1/2". I hope to hear from you......
sorry, I had read your previous post. my problem is that I don't find the website where the engine are sold. Could you please add the link in a comment or in the description? P.S. You video is really helping me thx!
Ah... so nice to watch the grass grow.........
Hy, could you please link me where I could buy the engines? and what about the wire you use to keep the system stable? Thank you in advance, I am trying to build my it on my own with a friend!
Very cool! Where can I buy this machine?
where do you get the motors?
help i cant find the instructions, also could use part number for motors help please.
I love your machine. Would you consider selling me one?
which direction are each of these rotors turning in? .. and does direction of rotation matter in this set up? ..

The motors must all turn in the same direction. If you choose to use pipe fittings as presented here, then you must have them turning clockwise to keep the fittings from unscrewing.

www.theglassmarble.com/sphere%20grinder.htm for machine building instructions.
Please get a different rag to wipe them off that’s worse than nails on a chalkboard, watching you wipe that off of toilet paper
take a breath.
Did you just finish running a marathon before recording this tutorial?
