Towers might be a net positive if they pulled aggro away from the main castle or just spawned a lot more forward to act like a protective wall. Loving Marble Legions, very satisfying to watch for some reason.

Absolutely love the new "unstuck" mechanic! Seeing archers spread out to let shield in front of them instead of getting shoved into the front lines is awesome! The sproingly effect is also satisfying to watch. This one felt like an especially epic battle, the huge armies, so many towers on each side! Even though red got stuck on it at the end, it seemed like it's loss was due to green's overwhelming numbers rather than getting stuck. Better luck next time red!

11:15 when the x12 red marble went into the tower slot

let's just take a moment to appreciate how much effort he put into the ai for the marbles. The units seeing other legions and advancing, archers who are smart enough to retreat rather than charge to their deth and the fact that they now expand and contract so they don't get stuck inside each other. truly phenomenal masterpiece already can't wait for part 4

@@lostmarbles2d It's noticeable that several things are improving each time. One important improvement now could be marbles prioritizing their targets, like targeting the most dangerous units on their sight (champions, clerics, catapults...), not just the closest ones (unless they are so close that they're a direct threat).

That green comeback at the last moment felt like ANGER.

That's alot of videos in a shot period! How lucky we are! For archers, I think that to make them less OP, when they are retreating they should have a lower rate of fire :)

@lostmarbles2d would you consider doing a grand scale battle like this? Perhaps spend the first 5 minutes with only marbles, "building their army" aim to have around 10,000 on each team. (Or however many your CPU can handle xD) Then have a second marble track to deploy blocks of 100 randomly. Then have the Battle unfold!

Winter campaigns tend to be the most atrocious.

When red made its main push, the tactics are like real medieval battles, how most green were distracted at the top, which gave them a good move on the bottom and took over from there, soon after tho, red was hit with a crazy counter offensive, and lost

*historical lecture ahead* _ (spoilers alert) _ The Kingdom of ever spring manage to successfully defend icewind pass from the crimson legion pushing them back, but the war has not been won yet. For you se- *fade out*

Honestly i feel like there should be some health indicator? Maybe the color gets darker the less health the marble has?

Here we see two teams use classic RTS game strategies: Red is turtling, using towers, spears, shields, and archers to create impregnable defenses. Green is rushing with huge hordes of cheap units, to take out Red's defenses before they can hit critical mass.

There are so many archers, maybe switch them out when a faction has too many of them on the field? they get in the way of the melee troops despite the new unstuck mechanic

I think uh. I think Monks need to be nerfed. (This post dedicated to That One Monk who tanked like five towers plus the castle for 30+ seconds) Seriously though, less health, shorter range, and/or a longer cooldown on conversions, maybe balanced by letting them heal friendlies. Also Red getting 12 towers killed them, there entire army got caught behind their castle unable to defend when longbows showed up. Might want pre-determined tower spawn spots where friendly armies are less likely to walk into/get caught on them, or just remove collision for same color units and towers. Incredible video tho

I don't think they should be allowed to heal themselves, if that's happening. When they get hit there's some type of effect that seems to override their convert ability sometimes that i assumed was a self-heal, if it is i think taking THAT away would make them more balanced

@@gaiusmarius4209 Good idea, I'll prevent them from self-healing. Note that monks and clerics are two different units - yellow book is monk with convert ability, green book is cleric with heal ability. I'll see if I can visually differentiate them a bit further

I see now that the battlefield have been decorated , very nice👍👍👍. Actually.... you know what would be cool? The background actually changed seasons after a period of time 😮😮😮. Cool idea for the background right? After all the videos is usually quite long, so it is fitting for the background to actually changes seasons. As the video progress, it started from spring, to summer, to fall, to winter.

Red invested in towers. Green invented in archers.

I think the guards should be sped up very slightly like 5% or 10% because when a group of them was going after a group of archers it kinda felt like the archers were going faster even though they were retreating also maybe lower the rate of fire for archers when retreating

Surprised Red nearly won considering they not only got worse troops but also less... meanwhile Green consistently got archers and longbowmen which have the highest DPS in the game.

Just non stop content from lost! I need a daily dose!!!!

i like this a bit more than the kingdom wars series, bc it's more like how actual medieval armies would fight, in formations not one-on-one duels

Medieval battles were probably more like kingdom wars. You can’t expect that many different people to stay in formation, if there were even any formations to begin with.

Archers are constantly missing the tower. A fkin tower.

11:15 and 17:56 is what lost it for Red, lmao the x12 going into the tower slot and then this champion that went on a total killing spree X_X, if it wasn't for those I believe red would've had enough to finish the Greens base off at 20:10 :D

Red's strategies almost worked, it was brutal, first a huge wave of towers, then an endless army of archers, but green knew how to attack in the gap, and also had soldiers determined by the emotion of battle.

I think in the future you should use blue instead of green. The green numbers on white are kind of hard to see, and I think blue/red is more color-blindness-friendly than green/red anyway.

Unit suggestion: berserker (special unit) uses two axes and swings very quickly, has high speed and likes to charge at enemies but has low health and will die very quickly(almost like a suicide bomber)

also maybe an interesting mechanic to add is different units the target different things like the berserker would target enemies while the catapult targets towers or smth like that

You can try to make each unit separately so that they don’t get confused in the towers, but this can cause a hit in optimization

Love the videos. I feel like the marble portion of this series is unsatisfying compared to other series. I think it has to do with the fact that as the marbles cascade down they are confined to a small box each time, and also the teleportation effect is weird. I think it would be a lot better if the boxes were transparent zones that the marbles fell through, with the special units walled off from the rest, so that the marbles have a continuous path to the end and you can track each one smoothly if you know what I mean. Similar to the tank boss battle 2 setup.
