Which ones support dual stereo? Which ones can play music on the rear speakers while I'm playing a video game? Which ones auto switch inputs and can set priorities?

I was gonna purchase the sr8015, but I went with the Sr8012 . Now they came out with something new. It's too expensive to keep up.

I went with the Marantz Cinema 50. Been a big Onkyo fan over the years, but decided to try something new. Very happy with the Marantz and my SVS Subs with Arendal LCR Speakers. The combination gives me a much better HT experience than when I had Onkyo and Infinity. No idea if the Marantz is worth the extra $1,000 over Onkyo as it's all subjective. Video on my page of my HT setup.

I've owned onkyo 7100 and rz50 both not great for music it's too harsh and bright. Mine RZ50 also has center speaker problem, it's very muddy. I contact the dealer when they returned it's just better but can not fix that problem.

..will choose between sony es line 3000, Onkyo RZ50 or Marantz cinema 50, sound quality 1st for stereo and cinema, all 3 have pre-out for the future upgrate, sony has 360° Spatial mapping, Marantz maby better stereo sound, Auro 3d, 4x independent subs, Heos streaming app., Dirac Live, any advice?! To me cinema 50 looks like better choice, but i dont have time to run around and try to listen somwhere, so thx for any feedback, r.😉

I will answer the question since I'm not sure they did...Cinema 50, its great. The Marantz will get Dirac next month (March 23) It has a great feature set and enough power. I know its more money but it looks great at least with my setup. For those that complain about the porthole, its not a big deal. I use the remote, the Marantz app, and my laptop to make adjustments.

You have to pay a premium for Dirac Live. You pay more initially and pay for calibration. Onkyo it comes with the purchase so that would be my choice. I don’t see the point in paying more for something I may not notice an improvement since audio is subjective and depends on your equipment.

Do any of these receivers sound better than the ones they are replacing ?? eg new DAC etc or .....do they just have new features ....and that is what you are paying for eg Marantz line new look added new features etc....

Now 8 months have passed. I would like to buy a new AVR. Denon AVC X4800H. But I still need another one. And I already have a Dirac license from the time when I still had a NAD AVR. That was a nice device, with a loud fan 🙈. So I no longer have that device. But I still have the Dirac license. And now the Dirac Support has told me that I can't use this license. Not with Denon or with Marantz or with any other product - except NAD. WTF (sorry to say) I wrote to our financial authority here in the country and asked if they didn't want a lot more income. They asked "how?" I said, you just need to require a new license for every new car someone buys. And the have to pay for it 🙈 They thought that was great 👍🏻

LX505 - a little pricier than RZ-50 but crossover can't be set independently, so RZ-50 I think is better by default (One of the main reasons I chose the RZ-50 personally). Cinema 50 is nice but much, much more expensive than the other two and I think it still doesn't have DIRAC and we STILL don't know the price of the add on. It just sucks the RZ-50 had a $200 price bump otherwise it be a slam dunk of the three (though some people do have it on sale for $1399-1499). I think Cinema 50 should not be in this and should be replaced with the Denon X3800H and this becomes a much more interesting choice.

Got denon x4800 recently and comparing directly with my old pioneer lx 57...the sound from pioneer is GOD like... All those features and atmos, dirac, 4 independent subs, 8k etc. goes to drain when there is such a huge difference!

My current receiver is the Denon 3400H and considered upgrading to the Marantz cinema 50. Then I heard going with the Anthem AVM 70 would be an actual upgrade from what im using now. However the Anthem AVM 70 HDMI 2.1 chip board is only 18gbps!And they upcharged $500 for that bare bones of a chip set.If your gaming it will clip.Such a shame to spend $3400 and its useless for gaming. And that means the eARC is 18gbps.so would not matter to plug current gen consoles to tv with a underwhelming eARC I believe...

For the money, the Denon x3800h wins for me. If you have multiple subs, the 4 independent sub outs on the Denon/Marantz receivers are tough to beat! Plus you can choose between the excellent audysee xt32 or Dirac Live room correction.

2:15 this implementation shouldn't be a thing. The industry needs standards... Drop in whatever black box software you want and it just works, just like a dirt cheap ultra trash computer that costs $150. It just runs the apps it can. You don't have to change the whole OS and all the firmware every time.

Sorry guys, but the last 2 Onkyo receivers I have purchased FAILED to function properly WAY to soon after purchasing them. I AM DONE WITH ONKYO. THAT MAKES ME SAD TOO. Back when Circuit City was going out of business I bought my first home theater in a box. It was an Onkyo.

I'm actively looking for a 9.1 AVR and the Onk z50 is on the short list. I can't quite pull the trigger because I am concerned about z50 problems I've read about on-line. Is this a deal breaker or am I worried un-necessarily? I trust you guys, I do not trust Amazon reviews.

@@voiceofreason9238 I have had my Onkyo RZ- 50 for over a year with no problems. The updated firmware helped some people's issues but i never had any problems. The only time I had a problem was with Dirac but that was resolved with its update and has been problem free ever since. The price had gone down in some retailers and refurbished units on Onkyo's website go for 1279 (a steal). To me, it is the one to beat, no question. The other brands that are in its competition don't even come close. I understand that others may have other requirements to meet, but for what you get, this is by far the best option. I run 7.4.4 and the sound for movies is unbelievable. The Dirac room correction is a game changer. I can't believe this receiver/pre pro is not talked about more. Some will say it is buggy. (not my experience} but from what I have read on other forums other companies like, Anthem, Denon, Arcam, Emotiva, JBL, ALL! are riddled with bugs and failures. My advice is to give it a chance, because i believe it to be the best value for the money bar none. My set up is run as a pre pro and use a separate amp for my bed layer and the Onkyo for my atmos speakers.
