It would be nice if you had some kind of VU meter for your mic signal sitting about eye level so you could tell when you mic battery depletes. I finally started using low melt solder -- I found it amusing that the whole stick softened when I applied a tiny amount of it! xD

Hello i have an Marantz sr6011 with a bad hdmi port. I just can't seem to find around the jungle to get a new hdmi socket. I live in Denmark, so shipping for you is not a option. What hdmi socket do i need, so i can get this fixed at a repair shop in my country. No shops seem to know anything about this over here, but are willing to fix, if i supply the parts. Thanks

Back in 2020 we used to sell them per stick and you ordered 2 sticks of 6.5" at $5 each. Now we sell them in sticks of 6 at 3.3" for $15 which really equals 3 long sticks if ordered in 2020.

When you say LOW MELT SOLDER, do you mean Chip Quik Alloy ? Cause this latter's melting point is as low as 50° C, not 100-160° C as mentioned in previous videos.

Why not mark the position of port to desolder on the underside with a sharpie prior? You can erase the sharpie mark with alcohol afterwards.
