I can hardly believe my ears - fantastic playing at any age. Maria is not just a fabulous fiddler - she is a mature artist as good as any out there. Technically, she has absolute control over rhythm, intonation, bowing, thirds, octaves, tenths, harmonics, vibrato, sound - everything!!! And she played the Sauret cadenza (one of the toughest out there) She never looked like she was trying to play - she just played. Fearless!!! Amazing!!!!!!

She was 14 years old. Just incredible. So effortless for her, and such an exciting sound for the listener.
This concerto is so soloist-focused, I think it sounds better with piano accompaniment than with full orchestra.
14 year old prodigy of incomparable talent and grace..cannot stop looking and listening since discovering her three or so days ago
what a beautiful rendition. she is a fully fledged violinist with her own tone and fieriness already there. bravo maria!

WOW! I have heard this piece many times, usualy with a orchestra. This is the first time to hear it with piano. Duenas has no where to hide (behind a orchestra or a piano) and she gives it her all....with speed! Amazing control and interpretation. A well deserved 1st place award. I look forward seeing what happens with her career.

Holy moley! I was blown away by her introduction to the piece and she kept it going through the whole thing. Fantastic. Can't wait to see her continue to grow as a musician.

Yo pienso que simplemente la gente que da dislike (o como se ponga) a este video es sola y exclusivamente por que no saben apreciar esta musica , sus movimientos es simplemente asombroso , tendrían que aprender de ella.
Very very good. Intonation even at the highest notes is perfect. And the harmonics is superb. And the tone of Maria's violin is excellent... May be it is a Stradivarius...

No, this perfomance is 4y.o., and Stradivarius she got at 2021. It is probably Nicollo galgiano, rare work from 17??.
