you need a lot more power for effective quality finish on the blades. I designed a similar machine 20 years ago, for making rc balsa rubber powered helicopter blades, I realized that I need more power for a quality finish. A shop router -table and a custom made cutter I later used for making some really nice narrow width blades for small RC helicopters and autogyros. A collegue of mine posted some photos of my router in RC Groups AG section early this year. Perhaps you saw that setup?

btw, you should be inserting the blade from the other side, standard shop practice to work against the power of the cutter not with it. Read up on UP and Down Climbing in standard machining practice.
