Can we appreciate how Drew said "well, this is just like 1984" which references the youtube channel called "Druuuwu". "well, this is just like 1984" is Druuuwu's catchphrase so it's really wholesome to see that Drew is shoutouting small youtube channels such as that one

7:03 that with the Volga actually makes some sense, as there were a lot of mostly German speaking towns there. Some of my ancestors were such Volga Germans. The history behind it is very interesting as well. Germans were known to be good and efficient farmers and workers and Russia had a lot of unused land, so they invited Germans to settle and make the land useful

0:50 Yeah, it was in Sweden. Sweden had and still have nuclear power plants. These obviously have sensors that pick up radiation meant to trigger if people walk OUT of the plant, indicating a leak inside the plant. However, it suddenly triggered when workers came IN to the plant having brought the radiation in from outside. That must have been confusing for a bit..

1:20 just because the soviets had Nukes doesn’t mean they had a lot of them. The us still had a monopoly up to thousands of nukes. Also nukes at that time had to be delivered by bombing plains meaning that you would need air superiority before you can drop the nukes. Even further the ussr only had about 20 nukes available so they would have to use them sparingly. General McArthur was still wrong in the fact that dropping nukes in conventional warfare was unheard of at the time. It would set a precedent that the us wasn’t afraid of using nukes in conventional warfare. This would paint a Bad I’m image on the us and would make the Soviets look better to the unaligned Nations.

Petition for Drew to make a series covering Ace Combat and its multiple universes: [Day 134] The M134 Minigun is an American 7.62×51mm NATO six-barrel rotary machine gun with a high rate of fire (2,000 to 6,000 rounds per minute). It features a Gatling-style rotating barrel assembly with an external power source, normally an electric motor. The "Mini" in the name is in comparison to larger-caliber designs that use a rotary barrel design, such as General Electric's earlier 20 mm M61 Vulcan, and "gun" for the use of rifle ammunition as opposed to autocannon shells.

"1984" wasn't so much a predictive novel as a satire of the recent past, mocking the Communists in the Soviet Union as well as their leftist friends in the UK. Orwell was an uneasy socialist himself, and might even have become a "neoconservative" himself had he lived longer. Many others followed that path.
