Good list, I would agree on a few of those. Also loved the 2 added magicians, strongly agree on that part, and personally I would recommend both I/L and Luminous to anyone, really. but that's just opinions :) As for Mechanic, you said they have amazing mobility? They actually have one of the worst mobilities in the game, at least according to me, it does not hold up. *But* it's still an amazing class, try one out!

+cappew22 Thanks man :) I'm glad you agree with parts of my list and share the same opinions :) I say Mechs have great mobility because no they're not fast but they are mobile thanks to their: Flash jump/slide, their teleporting portals that they can set up, and their up-jump skill!

I quit Maplestory for a VERY long time... Came back and tried out Thunder Breaker. Never going to regret it

+ThePhotonicGamer They can duplicate a mob and/or boss into 2 to deal twice the damage for a period of time! :D Their main bossing skill also attacks 3-4 mobs (don't rmbr which amount is correct), and they have a bind! :) 3 good thoughts for you ~

***** Extremely unique class, DRAGON based, has a badass transformation at 3rd/4th job, amazing DPS when funded, actually very fun class, warrior, cool lore, and it's one of my favourite classes in the game.

Is wild hunter or night walker good? I'm having trouble sticking to one character, I'm considering bowman or wind archer now

I main Lumi, was suprised its not on the list! Yes, they're squishier and can be tougher to play, but if you do it right I by far think they're the best class. Absolutely insane mobbing skills aswell as great at bossing. Only thing Lumi lacks a little are some active buffs. None the less awesome vid!

How is the survivability of Bowmasters? I know they're very squishy, but do they have a drain skill of some sort to keep them alive at boss runs? I was thinking of maining them, but then I decided to go with the I/L Arch Mage because their survivability is a bit better.

+Salman Syed +Salman Syed Their skills can really be useful for boss fights: -they have a buff that increases your att by 40% at the price of your defense. - they have a high rate of critical hits, combine this with Hurricane and Arrow platter: any boss will fall under their arrows. They're pretty good in attack but you have to find a way to compensate with their defence and HP if you really want to fight a boss on hard difficulty.

Does dual blade require good funding to do good dmg? If yes then how much? Are they good at bossing and do YOU recommend me to play it? I am an begginer and only have about 30mil mesos. Are dual blade still strong with little to no funding?

good funding is probably about ~500m. considering buying your mastery books will probably be about 40-45m already, and a whole thief fafnir set can cost anywhere between 100-400m if you choose not to boss.

Demon avenger are very well done and good for mains because they are decently mobile the art of their moves are prestine and the fact that it focuses health is really useful for new people plus once you get to fourth job I believe you get the skill where once you have ahieved the extended combo mode that makes most moves pink instead of blue you can just use the skill to reset it and get all your hp back it's insanely good.

how do u know hayato is getting fj? where can i see the notes :o, cuz it dont say anything about hayato and kanna on orangemushroom

How is zero not on this list? Zero is so fun and easy to fund. And no wild hunter? They're the best bossing class in the game! And I would like to point out that a fire poison mage is way better than the ice lightning. They're better bossing.

Well, you tried. I agree that Ice/Lightning magicians are pretty nifty - in fact my first Maplestory character ever was an Ice-Lightning. Luminous is pretty strong too. Fire/Poison is getting nerfed and Bishops are hardly worth using due to their lack of good attack skills. Blaze Wizard is really awesome, though - it can hit in four directions with just the first job's attack and I saw a video where one solo'd Normal Lotus and only died four times in the final phase. I like Battle Mages, but sadly their close-combat style makes them hard to boss - I struggled against the story Lotus! :(

+william jester Cannoneer has pretty decent damage, good mobility, and alright surviveability. He has amazing mobbing since his skills are very AOE-ish and with his damage he does good for bossing. Pretty viable in my book

I used to love this game. But the player support Nexon provided was terrible, My characters were hacked and deleted and somehow so was the account. I sent in a ticket and it took a full year for them to reply. Im sure this is why people become hackers in that game.

Hayato for the win!! I love the class even if it does have low dps, but for me the fun aspect is way more important and it makes the game a little harder :) Once you learn how to play Hayato and everything you can still do alot of the game even without funding it just takes a little bit longer to do so :P I highly recommend anyone the class if they want to have fun playing.

+LostBeats Kaiser is very viable. Good mobbing, excellent bossing, super fast hits, really high damage, good surviveability, etc etc. He has it all pretty much. Hes a jack of all trades but master of none sort of. If you can get good gear on him he's amazing

interesting list! i rarely see any of these classes around,, even though clearly they're worthwhile! i gotta disagree.....strongly......about the lack of mages though! honestly mages are always the funnest class for me....what's cooler than using magic?? personally my main is a blaze wiz >:) (even if they are SUPER squishy!)

+Ursa McCoy It's funny when it comes to DS for me, because they're my favourite (yes favourite) class in the game but I wouldn't recommend them to a new player. If you have some experience and knowledge in the game then they can make for a great and fun main but otherwise I'd go for one of the classes in the video. Demon slayers can be quite tough to fund and make powerful :(

Ursa McCoy Yes harder to fund than a Wind Archer and by quite a bit. DS' have a horrible weapon multiplier thanks to the weapon they use so it's hard to get good numbers out of them even despite the class having great secondary utility coming from their skills like extra boss dmg % and such.

i'll main Drk forever. loved it since the release of the 4th job.

I would recommend a Xenon for a new player, 'cause we get A LOT of ALL stats bonus in items that most classes don't use, and they can take 100% advantage of the star force system who gives pretty much all stats for the items( I have a funded NW and I do have 3k of DEX/STR/INT), the xenon can get a solid DMG/range just with regular items.

+Shagged Yolo There's a very simple answer to that. At the end of the day, this list is opinion based and reflects my personal opinions although from an educated stand point. I just feel that I'd presonally recommend Dual Blades over Phantoms, not necessarily because I think Phantoms are a bad class or have a lot of drawbacks but just because I feel people would enjoy playing and maining a Dual Blade more than a phantom.

im coming back after a few month out because of the reboot, im having trubels deciding which main to get, im thinking 1.lumi 2.dark knight 3.fire poision mage(did they really got nurfed?) any advice? oh im not funded at all, starting from zero sorry for bad english :)

I also put Transform and Limit Break as my top 2. As a Zero main I was in tears when I saw that beautiful skill and after reading it's description oh yes. Transforms back with a Spirt Bomb so it almost won first but my love for Zero is too strong. Phantoms are a nearby third just watching the trailer looks at all those cards was just damn he's going ham + the card draw after is interesting especially if you pull a Joker. Paladin pulls 4th place that Holy Unity can be broken AF, "You get invincibility you get invincibility you all get invincibility!!" Xenon's just is a BF Lazers also I've seen someone hit the new cap on it. (10bil)

i would recommend 1. aran 2. thunder breaker/striker 3. buccaneer/brawler 4. cannoneer 5. bowmaster/hunter you might notice i like pirates, warriors and archers... not much of a thief or mage player

+DanceNinja My personal opinion is yes. I made DB my main, and hes not let me down ever since. Shadowers do more damage theoretically, but realistically DB does more damage and do more lines if you have the right gear and stuff. The main issue with DB would probably be his surviveability. He has the highest dodge chance in game ( 90% ) and he has an amazing life steal (10% chance to steal 20% of your max HP, sounds weak but when you do around 12 hits a second you're bound to hit that 10% chance MULTIPLE times ) but when he does get that 10% and he gets hit, he gets hit pretty hard. If you have good HP pots then you should be fine.

+CasualGaming Hayato is not playable for a limited time, as a matter of fact, the *ONLY* class MapleStory ever released (that can be actually created by players) that was playable for a limited time only was the Pink Bean class. However, Hayato's can only be *created* during specific events which come around often enough. With that being said, there should be no problem maining a Hayato :)

Funding means mesos and godly items. Meaning that you are rich in the game and have the ability to buy items that boost your damage output.

i tried a luminous and it's so boring i tried an evan and it's damn weak. But i see evan is having a revamp sometime so ill wait for that.

I played luminous as well. boring. and pretty underpowered compared to other classes. with my master 30 books my chain did 420% with 38k in Stat menu. A friend made an angelic buster and was hitting a million and averaging 400k crits.

I'm very new to maplestory, what do people mean by funding? Like irl money or mesos?

David Hoang Well... Dawn Warrior is a cygnus knight class and is literally in this video of mine.. Sooooooo ... I would say Dawn Warrior :/

I love the old school bucc before they change the skill :( but I prefer buccaneer and shadower

i wish there was a Top 5 alliances/guilds to join in maplestory if you're coming back from a long pause

+RayAzul7 The answer to that varies from server to server so it's near impossible to get a vid like that up unless someone is extremely familiar with every single server or at least knows someone very experienced in each server :(

nice nice i would say start off with cygnus knights and or Demon avenger cause there [retty much starter classes for the unfunded but you choices are well thought out or some people just wont care and jut play what they like and or love

nightlord is hard to play i believe it requires a lot of funding to make great damage. im not an unfunded player but i still like nightlord a lot although the damage is comparatively low.. it's a bit sad they have delay in throwing stars now..

i thought mechanic is gonna get nerf, still recommend?

+MaskerRoom To be honest, yes I do :P I don't remember reading nerfs on them though so I may have forgotten! I'll revisit the patch notes coming soon to GMS :)
