The "S key" during the combo is SPACEBAR!!

It's 11/5/2024.. I don't see the purple zone!!! D: such a waste of time...

Para los que hablan español: El truco es mantenerse casi todo el tiempo al frente de la casa, y serca de la estatua esa, la tecla space es la tecla que viene por defecto ( npc/harvest ), algunos la ponen en otro lugar, pero para poder atacar a TENGU tiene que estar en la barra espaciadora ( space bar ) , es muy simple, solo cuando salga lo morado, le das a Space bar-espaciadora y de ahí le das a las flechas en el orden que venga, cuando te sale una letra S en color azul, es obviamente la Space Bar y nada mas. espero les sea de ayuda a los que lo entiendan.

Some reason I can't ever pass the S button part, I click S and nothing happens, it just says Failed? Edit: NVM, S means Spacebar not the S key lol

Hi Mina, this was a very awesome guide and it helped me a lot with learning the attack patterns. But i've been stuck on this boss for more than an hour already because for some reason, there are no purple areas when i fight him. Nothing seem to be working, so i might try again tomorrow

Hate so much that boss, but after defeating it I feel I can defeat it forever from now on

just did it few hours ago. the fight currently feels buggy as fk. instead of the 'S' appearing when i enter, what happens more often is i get petrified then OHKO'd. i ended up pulling my KRRR ring out , and along with my class's 15s i-frame, attempt to enter purple zone twice every 3 minute to finally kill the boss without dying out.

"S" is for "space bar"? Oh my god!

First quester here. The only thing you missed out is S means Space not S key. Took me 20 minutes and 8 deaths to realise :D

its now 23-06-2022 YES, the purple area does NOT show up. Wait till this fight gets patched.

Also can do without set npc/harvest on space button but need to remove any key that set on space button alr b4. This spent almost 2h of me to find out when i first met him lol xD

I don't get this. If I enter the purple zone i get killed immediately and if i do somehow stay alive, neither spacebar nor the interact/harvest key does anything

i thought S were just S key but Kappa telling you S is space bar but im like wtf is S is spacebar, took me 15min to realize space bar is right underneath me and ive been pressing S whole time and died 9 times like a idiot

So is the Letter S for the Harvest key or soacebar jump

Yes press the arrow key which it says, and S = spacebar.

First time doing this questline, the purple area doesn't even show up for me. Wasted too much of my time on this boss fight lol. This boss is harder than black mage cuz it's literally impossible to beat.

Same can't even do it because the purple area doesn't show up I spam the space bar the entire fight and nothing came up for 5 rotations... such a waste of a story.

I have noticed that bug fixed. anyway its so hard i will try again later. as quickly as I get to purple zone so I get stunned by him and killed .

This is the worst boss ever made. Thank you for this guide you are a life saver...

Is the purple area for this boss still glitched? I have been sitting here for 30 minutes now spamming spacebar, holding spacebar, purple area never shows up. So frustrating.

I have 2 player 1 main player 216lvl with the wings - 2 years ago wasn't that bug . from player give to other mine player in storage- problem its undreadable - maybe there are way to make it tradable ? world reboot . if you know?

space must be free of action so change the configuration. espacio debe estar libre de accion asi que cambienlo en la configuracion

that boss !!! alsmot impossible I (239) still don't have that super cape. but fuck it I got super superior cape from hard magnus once I defeated him . probably its greatly more powerful that that cape from tengu.

Currently redoing this whole quest for ToT skill(s) but now I remember what it was that had me doing my nut way back when I done the fight on my main - it was the S! I think I was literally hitting the S key before finally dawned on me it meant Spacebar! Haha! Anyway, thanks for the guides, but is it just me that isn't getting ANY sound on the Mushroom Shrine guide video EXCEPT for that tiny 'click' at the start? No sound at all in entire video for me, tried on various browsers and devices, all same?

Dumbest boss fight in the game because it's not even a fight. Hated this quest so much but the wings are so worth it.

A bug like this in WoW, or FFXIV would be patched the next day. This shit has been a problem for how many months now? Ridiculous nexowned.... spent over an hour doing this stupid quest line only to have the last boss just be bugged to be uncompleteable.

Hate this boss so much, what a bad design

I get NA maple wants to create it's own contents but making these buggy and zero fun bosses makes them even look worse. All the art work and story line gets wasted with these timing. Idk how PM actually approved this boss fights but just give up on making own content please and work on translating Korea's content
