I just tried this on my 2018 Honda Civic Touring Coupe and it works perfectly! The new update is for 2023. It’s March 7 2023 as I post this. Thanks for the video!

@@geefamz7172Cool vid. I’m just discovered this and was wondering if this will work on my 2013 Honda Accord V6 coupe? It’s in dire need of an update.

I just did this and it worked great... with one exception. You have to remove all usb cables from all ports if you have any. Otherwise it says it can't find any media. Pull the cables out and everything is just as he says here.

I updated my maps to the latest early 2023 which Honda sent me an email about. My 2020 HRV confirms the maps are up to date but it doesn't even bring up the school I work at which changed its name 3 years ago. What gives??

Have a 2018 Honda crv and have a 16 gig usb and it’s lexar brand. I can not get the update to go on the usb from Garmin express. It says failed update. For the formatting I only have the options NTFS, Fat32 (default), exFAT. What should I do. I been trying for days

Too bad that doesn't help me, the civic sedan doesn't give me that GPS option even though it has GPS. I have to go through google maps.

I have a Honda CR-V RM Series II MY16 VTI-L, it does not bring up the web link info when the USB is inserted. it just says "The map data on the USB device is invalid. Please confirm that the correct map database is loaded on the USB device and try again". Am I doing something wrong or does this map update not work for my vehicle?

it seems like I am missing my map on my 2022 hrv. ex I tried searching for it and I could not find it. when I bought this car, I remember this feature being on it but now its gone. All model years - Really ! My 2018 CRV came with Free Garmin map updates for 5 Years. I have to pay Garmin for updates as of Dec 2013 . You should check with your dealer as come now only have 4 years free update .

16gb flash drive is not available in the market. Minimum capacity is 32gb.

Cars prior to 2011 most likely use DVDs to update their satnav, and those DVDs are sold by Honda or online retailers. It's not that expensive like 30 pounds.

Yes you can replace it with an aftermarket radio with gps but be aware it might affect some of the car functions.

This guy is talking about the Honda Garmin collaboration which started in 2015 I think. It won't work on older cars. The free updates are for 5 years from new. All map updates are well out of date anyway so don't rely on the in car navigation. People say the google maps are much more current and they are free so just use your phone. If anybody knows more than this, like what the system on a 2014 model and before is & if there is a mod, now that would be very interesting. $200 for an out of date update from Honda or Garmin does not seem like value to me.
