Map of Scandinavia & Finland [ASMR Maps]
In this relaxing ASMR maps video I am looking at a paper road map of Scandinavia & Finland and doing some map tracing using a bamboo stick pointer.
I am speaking in a male deep voice with a Welsh accent and switch between soft spoken and whisper voice. Today we look at a map of the Nordic countries of Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway.

I know Vanta because that's where Käärijä is from. I'm so glad Finland gave him to us, from last year's Eurovision 😁

I love your asmr videos! Especially USA facts etc. I am so very impressed with your language skills! Just one detail to make your Swedish words perfect: In regards to Norrköping, Nyköping, Linköping etc, "Köping" is pronounced with sh sound like in "shut up" or "shut the door" You have the most relaxing voice:-)

The Swedish city names in Finland are not old, they’re the names being used by the swedish-speaking Finns along the coastline today!

good video👍 Vyborg (Viipuri in finnish) was Finlands 2nd biggest city before ww2 but now its like a ghost town because all finnish people left and russians never moved there after they occupied the area… also before ww2 Norway did not border Russia but Finland also lost access to Ice-sea and big areas in eastern lapland to Russia.

18:43 Hey! if you want to learn more about the continuation War and Finland's loss of territory to Soviet Union, there is a movie called the unknown soldier (Tuntematon sotilas) I think you would love it. The film is also quite topical or at least a good reminder of what has happened to Finland and Finns, thanks to our dear neighbor from the east.

Im not really sure but I think that Bornholm was part of Germany until WWII when it was given to Denmark as Sweden didnt enter the war and that why it's danish and not swedish

Denmark and Sweden have been fighting over Bornholm for centuries, it was not given to Denmark after ww2. But it was occupied (by the soviets) even after the rest of the country was freed at the end of ww2

I think the words Scandinavia and the Nordic countries are often used synonymously, when in fact they refer to different things. Finland is a part of Fennoscandia, an area which covers Norway, Sweden, Finland and a small part of Russia.

@@WelshASMR82Maps I as a Finn think that Finland won the winter war and continuation war despite the losses Finland did not lose it's independence and managed to cause around 5 times more casulties to the soviets then the finns suffered themselfs. The soviets could have overrun Finland eventually but the soviets deemed it way too costly and simply not worth it. The soviets technically won both of the wars but in both of them they failed to conquer Finland in its entirety and the soviets considered the winter war an embarassment just like 1 soviet said after the war (we have gained just about enough land to bury our dead) Finns consider the wars during ww2 a moralic victory Finland was not lost Finns were not replaced by russians and a free future for Finland was secured. I would recommend you to check to documentary called (the Nordic war) it tells the fight for Finland's independence during ww2 you can find it on youtube. Of course Finland suffered the fate of having to give land and pay war reperations but a free Finland was never lost and we managed to fully recover from the losses in the 1950,s when the mine clearing and paying the war reperations were finally over and now we have created 1 of the best countries in the world to live. I love my country it has every right to live long live Finland 🇫🇮
