I have too many favorites to pick (although, The Haunted Mansion is probably my favorite). Yes, I am fully aware that he voiced more things in the Disney Parks... I just didn't have a recording with clear enough audio to put it in here.

Paul Frees seems like he was a chameleon in the voice acting industry, you'd never know it was him.
Paul and June Foray were a great team as Boris Badanov and Natasha Fatale in the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. RIP to both of them.

Right up there with Mel Blanc and June Foray. I began to figure out his voices from watching the end credits on many of these cartoons.
No one, but NO ONE could EVER mistake Paul Frees's instantly recognizable voice! We lost a super-talented actor when he passed in 86' *sniff*
Paul Frees, June Foray, Mel Blanc, etc. were very humorous voice actors and they'll be missed forever. R.I.P. you guys.

Yes he voiced in alot of my childhood Christmas movies
he was also the narrator for the I DREAM OF JEANNIE opening in the first season.
Paul Frees was great. His lengendary career will always be remembered by his fans.
Paul Frees was one of the first voice actors to work at multiple studios. This is commonplace now, but back in the day, voice actors were usually solely attached to one studio (for example, Mel Blanc with Warner Bros., Jack Mercer with Paramount/Fleischer and Clarence Nash with Disney).
So, Paul Frees is the other guy. This makes 2 individuals who's voices were a big part of my childhood. This video is quite a testament and enlightening to those like me whom was a kid in the 60's. I'd pick my biggest surprise but there are so many.
Paul Frees was the best. His voices are the ones that remain distinctive to me.
"Well, stand there, Do-Right, don't just do something." (Probably my favorite line of Inspector Fenwick's.)
Never realized how much of my childhood that this guy voiced. His resume is on par with Mel Blanc, June Foray and Alan Reed.

Boy, that brought me back to early 70s Saturday Mornings. The commercials and especially for some reason the Boo Berry ghost.
Besides the Haunted Mansion, Frees was the voice of "Adventures Thru Inner Space" a defunct Disneyland attraction. (It"s now Star Tours)
so this man is single handily responsible for some of my favorite holiday characters voices and classic cartoons. my goodness this man got around

I think he had the widest vocal range of them, from very deep, low and guttural to soft and high-pitched like Poppin' Fresh the Pillsbury Doughboy. He also had the classic silky radio voice.
he also did a Busch Gardens commercial for the new Loch Ness rollercoaster
Wow! I didn't realize how diverse Paul Frees' range actually was! He was true talented! :D
Where do I begin with the great Paul Frees Boris Badinoff, Go Go Gomez, Santa in Frosty The Snowman, Ben Grim The Thing, Vangore henchmen of Bakar in the Arabian Knights series,.The Pillsbury Dough Boy, Ape of George Of The Jungle, Squidly Didley, Moroco Mole of Secret Squrell Inspector Finwick of Dudley Do Right, Fred of Super Chicken, Fluidman of The Impossibles, The Watcher of The Fantastic Four and many many more.
I didn't know Paul did that many voices in that many shows. He must have given old Mel Blanc a run for his money! Pleasant memories. Thanks for posting.

I just remember this guy as the Duck professor Professor Von Drake. I know VAs do many roles.
One of the best voice actors from the golden age of animation. I was born in 2003 but I grew up watching a lot of the old fashioned cartoons that Paul Frees was a part of especially some of the Rankin Bass/Christmas specials. Believe it or not Frosty the Snowman ☃️ was my introduction to both Paul and June Foray. He was also great as Boris Badenov and Ludwig Von Drake. Sadly he died of an overdose of pain medication and heart failure but thankfully his voice will be remembered for generations to come and thankfully Corey Burton is continuing his legacy as Professor Ludwig Von Drake.
RIP Professor Van Drake ; Disney's Animation Voices; Santa Claus; Flintstones; Jack Frost ; Cousin Strong Mouse & Devil Cat with Horse Singing in Mary Poppins..
So many voices, so little time. He did radio shows. He did movie trailer voice overs. There is a rumor that he dubbed parts of Humphrey Bogart's last movie, because Mr Bogart was too weak to finish it. You cant tell if it is Bogart or Frees. Thanks for putting this video together.
My favorite role he ever did was probably George the warden in Tex Avery's "Cellbound." (Come to think of it, I think he did every voice in that short) Anyway, I love seeing these videos. Great and thorough work on these.
2:43--I'll be honest, when I first saw the Jack Frost special--I immediately recognized Kubla Kraus as being voiced by Paul Frees due to his voice being nigh identical to that of Boris Badenov--one of my favorite characters that he voiced.

Besides the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland, and The Pirates of the Caribbean ride, he worked for Rankin/Bass specials "Little Drummer Boy" and most of their other projects....Boris Badenov,, can be heard in the pirates of the caribbean movie at world's end, as ship is going over the falls.
I think we have determined that Paul Frees did quite a number of voices, probably as proficient as Daws Butler and Mel Blanc.
Paul Frees was to Rankin-Bass what John Ratzenberger is to Pixar.
Correction: Paul Frees came out of radio much like Mel Blanc with a very long string of memorable characters.
He was quite the impressionist, too, ranging from Jimmy Durante to Ronald Coleman!
I didn't realize that he did the voice of Ben Grimm, the Thing!
What a resume! War of the Worlds, Boris Badenov, The Hobbit and so much more!

What a great compilation. Paul Frees was truly a legend and I'm so grateful we have these timeless recordings of his talent he left behind for posterity. So sad that he ended up committing suicide, this was a great loss. But, in a way, he lives on (as do so many others) at the Disney parks and in these movies and TV shows that people still love.

Just heard the man....One of our VERY best...doing the narration of a radio production of "The Day the Earth Stood Still" with Michael Rennie (Lux Theater production (NBC Radio Network), 1954)(on KPFK this morning, in Los Angeles). What a DAMNED fine talent!!! Like Ken Nordine, amazingly polished and authoritative. I've enjoyed his work for MANY years, but apparently had forgotten the MANY varieties and dialects (and characters) he'd done, such as ones in the Jay Ward--and Disney--cartoons....and a bunch of OTHER Disney features...such as the film "Donald in Mathemagic Land," and the one about a flight to the moon.
