That is usual way in building models. That is our fun too. We, model builder's purpose is not result, but process. Let' enjoy any trouble.

I'm doing the old Aurora Gotha GV 48th scale kit using some of the gaspatch turnbuckles.. It has been tedious but it's getting there.😊

@@jcwoodman5285 I have an Aurora Gotha in my stash. Maybe one of these days I’ll finish the 3 Aurora Warbirds I never completed. Good luck with the rigging. 👍

Boy. This thing wants to fight all the way doesn’t it!! Still, you’ve got this and it all looks really great. Once you get the rigging how you want it will all pay off.

This rigging makes you want to pull out your hair!!! I feel your pain, it will turn out better tho👍 I cheat and add the turn buckles after the rigging sometimes, using canopy glue. Once dry I paint the buckles and unless you get out a magnifier you can’t tell the line doesn’t actually go through the eyelets on the buckles. As a bonus they are lined up perfect with the wire so no off angles👍 model on !

@@treyzmodels422 Hi Trey, I went back and watched your rigging video. That seems like a good way to rig a plane. Unfortunately, drilling holes through the wings is no longer an option at this stage. I’m thinking about using SBS Flat rigging line now. It’s also fiddly and it might not be possible to “graft” on turnbuckles with canopy glue but at least I can get the angles right. Because it’s a much smaller plane than the Gotha, I don’t need the line to support the wings. Anyway I’ll mull it over for a while. Meanwhile I still have a fair amount of botched work to clean up. Model on.
