I am a night cabby, it's true more and more Singapore gals are hostess now due to the pandemic. Not much competition from the foreigners sure to covid. 1 night, just to show up, $150, get customer to open bottle extra, make customer happy extra tips. Now SIA stop flying, only when you fly got money, many their pay are dock or just get very low basic. Without flying allowance, just like$1,200 after cpf. Work as waitress also $100 a day and compete with foreigners.

Dear AsiaOne, what is the purpose of using the Singapore Girl in your headline? To drive traffic to this video, right? Firstly, I believe this is true.. that perhaps there are SQ girls who succumbed to being a KTV girl for less than noble reasons. But how many is “many”? 100? 200? 500?? Have you thought about the vast majority of cabin crew who are earnest about making a decent living, facing financial hardship since the beginning of Covid, and struggling day to day? How would they and their loved ones feel when they watch this video? Imagine the heartbreak of thousands of crew. Truth is parallel. May I suggest you speak to a crew who is not a KTV girl, and who is doing her best to stay positive mentally and financially through decent means. The struggles and hardship… don’t just look at one side of the coin. Thoroughly disappointed and feeling so wronged for the 95-97% of female crew.

I believed many of them will claim to be SQ girls to get more clients & tips.. after they talk we know they are not airline girls.

I still believe there are proper jobs out there. These gals especially the stewardesses want to maintain their high standard of living so they become hostesses, likewise same as those other locals. I don’t pity them. They should just live within their means and nothing to be shamed about earning as middle income.

SQ girls are no longer what they used to be - they were once slim, tall and pretty. Now is just a uniform they wear.

Many had passed judgement on the above. But first thing first - don't we live in a place that people are free to choose whom and what we should work for? To me, so long when people don't make $$$$$$$ from the public fund coffers, they ain't in the public domain! Not entirely true. I have never ever bumped into any of my ex-school mates. Not even once. Ok maybe that was too long ago. I'm mid-60 now, but I have also never bumped into any of my ex-working colleague from 10 years ago or from 20 years ago. If you watch TV drama, yes they easily bump into one (especially ex-lover). But this is real life.

Better than going out with the pilots and male cabin crew who just want to play and not PAY, then saying ''let's AA''.
