Many Rivers to Cross: The First Africans in Virginia

Old Point Comfort in Hampton VA is the original landing site of the first Africans to an English Colony in North America in 1619. Two of the Africans remained at Old Point Comfort and became the servants of Captain William Tucker. Antonio and Isabella married and had a son they named William Tucker and who was the first African American child born in America. Old Point Comfort at Fort Monroe is also noted for the important role it played as "freedom's fortress." In 1861, Frank Baker, Shepard Mallory, and James Townsend, three runaway slaves, sought refuge at the Union Fort Monroe and were declared "contrabands of war" by Major General Benjamin Butler.

They don't teach you this in school but most of those slaves had the names of people in the bible before they got here and were forced to change their names. Now ask yourself, why would all those slaves be named after people in your Bible? Deuteronomy 28:68 tells you what happened to the tribe of Judah. Your public fool systems don't teach you this because they are run the same people impersonating us in Israel who Revelations 2:9 and 3:9 tell you are the Synagogues of Satan. Those who say they are Yahudi (Jews) and are not but are of their Father, the Devil.

That Tucker name was their slave masters name. That’s how they got the Tucker last name which shows ownership. Slave took on their slave master name and carries the last name of that master for generations

Spanish, French, English had North American colonies. This narrative focuses NOT on THE ACTUAL FIRST AFRICANS, but later FIRST AFRICANS in the later established English Colonies. Let's skip: (1) Africans captured and sold slaves to the Portuguese/Spaniards, (2) The First African born in North America in Florida is subjectively dismissed in this narrative. The 1619 website says the First Africans in an English Colony (Antonio, Isabella, and newborn William Tucker) died free. But, this video continues with it's objective.

you know this is falsely quoted at least compared the King James, New International Version, and the English standard version, some of the most common versions of the bible in the Christian church. Not to seem rude but, what translation did you use? Are you quoting the bible, the book of Mormon the Jewish bible the Jehovah witness's bible? There are many forms of the Christian bible which I assume you're quoting Deut. 26:68 KJV 68 And the Lord shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you. Deut 26:68 NIV 68 The Lord will send you back in ships to Egypt on a journey I said you should never make again. There you will offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you. Deut 26:68 ESV 68 And the Lord will bring you back in ships to Egypt, a journey that I promised that you should never make again; and there you shall offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but there will be no buyer.” It's also important to have the context for a verse so the meaning isn't misinterpreted. This verse is in a section titled in some bibles as curses for disobedience and before verse 68 and verse 68 itself prophecy about the future of those who do and do not believe in the Lord God. I recommend reading chapter 26. In no way do I mean to be rude. what version of Deuteronomy are you using?

@@michaeljotoyajackson7294 you don't know what the hell you're talking about. that reference says absolutely nothing about race or ethnicity it's referring to the promise of blessing for obedience to the Law gicven at Sinai and curses for disobedience to that law as well. Quote- Verses 65- 66 describe the Israelites’ physical and emotional state in exile: Yahweh himself will rob them of all joy and meaning in life, and the distress over their demise will haunt them wherever they go. Moses highlights Yahweh’s involvement in their restlessness by portraying their “anxious mind,” 53 “eyes weary with longing,” and “a despondent heart” 54 as antigifts. In verses 66- 67 he concretizes their despair by introducing hypothetical interlocutors, whose lips express their emotional state. The picture of Israel’s restlessness recalls the “dread” of Egypt and other nations in the face of Yahweh’s judgment (Ex. 15: 16; Num. 22: 3), and the dread of the Canaanites in the face of the Israelites’ arrival (Deut. 2: 25; 11: 25).
