Yeah, Eric Adams real name is Louis Marullo, he is of italian heritage (like DeMaio).He choose the Eric Adams from his 2 kids, Eric and Adam.He goes pretty far back as a singer, as a 13-13 year old tween with his band The kids that released a single in 1965 with the songs Lovin' Everyday and Flipped Hair And Lace ..THe 2 songs are on youtube and Eric is the second from left to right in the photo.I think he was called wonder kid or something like tha.When battle Hymns was release on June 8, 1982 he was aabout to become 30 years old in the following month.In 1980 he was about to retire music, but Demaio convinced him not to, thankfully.,Immense, legendary singer for sure

They first did Nessun Dorma live at the God's of Metal festival in Milan at the end of their set. Afterwards the major of Milan awarded them the Keys to the City.

It is an aria from the third act of the opera: "Turandot" by Giacomo Puccini. Yes, it is in Italian. The song was popularized by Luciano Pavarotti.

yes, Eric's mother passed away during the recording of the album.

I remember when Joey said "not many metal bands can sing Nessun Dorma, we can, so why not to do it" :) Imagine Eric singing in front of Italian thousands and thousands live, that was sick. Btw... Eric was not singer originally, he was guitar player, he was "forced" to sing when his singer (already with Joey) got sick and there was noone there to cover, so Joey convinced Eric to do it... Since then, legend was borne.

Actually on first live shows Eric also played guitar but Joey has hidden it one night (and told Eric that they might have left it in their repetition place) in order to force him focus more on the singing. Not sure if in Manowar or their previous teen rock band. Best vocalist ever born, not only in metal but in general term!

@@vladimirborisov6463 I agree. Manowar is what it is because of Him and of course Joey. Eric is insanely good, both high and low, and most importantly I love his "colour" of the voice . I can listen to him talking all day, he seems so humble and calm :) I am happy that I had a change to meet him, talk to him and shake his hand

I might be mistaken but I think he practiced Nessun Dorma to do in Milan only and that was the only time he did it. He must have got it spot on as The crowd loved it.

Yes, Eric Adams is the man!!

One of my favourite Manowar albums. It has a lot of first class songs and some blooming heavy ones too. 😁 i always ignore any talking stuff or bass solos they add when making my mp3s or playlists as those are ok once or twice but thats about it. While an odd track for a metal album,Nessun Dorma is a very, very famous operatic track.

Don't forget to listen Dawn of Battle EP after this

Dawn of Battle was a single with three tracks but only one was included in the Warriors of World album. Later copies of the album includes the two more tracks as bonus tracks. Generally, Dawn of Battle could be considered as part of Warriors of the World album

Fight for freedom is another « waiting for Santa Claus » Manowar song… but Call to arms is excellent, to me

And I started to listen to Manowar because of Nessun Dorma 😊This aria and Eric Adams are really impressive!! I think you will like Puccini 😉 @@TheMetalJunkie
