And this method looks better, makes no scratching burrs and keeps the join flexible. The only down point here really is that you need tools, most people don't have laying around.

Where can I find these tools? Maybe at Michael's?

Awesome method for joining cord. More than once I’ve done it by melting the 2 ends together only to have the seal break.

Excellent method! Would you recommend also melting the 2 strands after the manny method?

Can you please tell me the best way to taper the cord ends so that I can get them into the fids? Thanks so much! I love your videos and have learned a lot.

Melt it then take a pair of needle nose pliers and flatten and twist it's at the same time into a point and there you go

I've seen this method often, but always wondered what the best method is to join cord mid project? Is melting still best then?

I want to join the 2 ends of a single paracord, this method would not work for such application, right? Is there something similar in aesthetics and function for what I'm trying to do?

Hello! Good question. You do need two pieces of Paracord to use the Manny Method. However, if you really want to try it, you could cut your single Paracord into two pieces. If that doesn't make sense for how you want to use it, you could simply melt the ends of the single piece together, resulting in a weaker, but aesthetically pleasing bond. For a stronger bond, you could knot the ends together. 🪐

Is Paracord waterproof? Can I use to hang a back brush in the shower?, will it dry fast and won't develop mold?

Hi! You definitely could as nylon Paracord is very resistant to rot. It'll just shrink slightly the first time it gets wet. Here's more info: www.paracordplanet.com/blog/frequently-asked-questions-about-paracord/.

It's pretty near impossible to do this method without a paracord fid. Fids are good tools to have if you plan on making more things out of paracord. Another option is simply melting the ends together using a lighter. Best of luck to you!

Old reply, but maybe some very fine tweezers to poke the hole and pull the end through?
