Manila Clam Forage & Feast (Digging & Cooking Clams on the Beach)

Ойын-сауық

Last weekend was a decent low tide, so we went out to dig Manila Clams in on the beach. With the coast closed to Razor Clams, digging for steamer clams in Puget Sound is a super fun and easy alternative for a clam adventure. If you've ever wondered how to dig for steamer clams, it's way easier than you'd think. It's like an Easter egg hunt with the added bonus of digging on the beach. We cooked our clams up with some pasta and enjoyed a little beach feast from our foraged food. The rain even stopped once we got to the beach!

Now this is a catch/foorage and cook I can get behind! Great vid. I'll see wardens at Dosewallips just making sure people have the clam gauges. They usually only check people if they don't. Also smart idea keeping the plastic "clam shell" with the bubbler!

Thanks! Yeah, I see so many people out there without gauges...just not worth the risk to me. I'll go home if I forget mine lol. Ermagherd "clam shell" for the clams. So cheesy. So perfect. 🤣🤣🤣

@@SeaWolfFishing also, if you ever want to "collab" let me know. I don't have a ton of subs, but would love to give you any press that I am able! I suspect we live pretty close. (I would have messaged you that but I am not sure how). If not, no worries!

The best! We might not be rich in coin but we are rich in food! It really is a fine dining experience with how fresh the food is eating it right after you harvest it. I should take a white tablecloth next time lol.
