I don’t even think Mandy Moore herself knows how iconic this song is! Just those few piano notes at the beginning sent chills down my spine, because I know what comes after is pure magic. She sang it live with a more mature voice, and it was just as magical as when I saw it in theaters.

Loved hearing the audience singing every word with her. Love both her acting and music.

That scene worth remembering..

I don't know if anyone gets that feeling, but every time I see Mandy singing, it's like seeing an angel. He voice soothes me, relaxes me, and brings me peace. I always listen to this song late at night when it's full moon. Love you, Amanda.

This is one of those songs that grabs certain people for whatever reason, sort of like Horse With No Name by America. It's an exceptionally well-written song and was performed brilliantly in the movie. For me, I had no experience with Mandy Moore's songs and was introduced to her voice when A Walk To Remember just happened to be on TV and for whatever reason, I just happened to start watching right at the church scene where she sang for the first time. Without really knowing how capable a singer she was, I was totally surprised to hear an excellently trained voice from this kiddy movie. It got my attention to continue watching, hoping there'd be another singing scene. Then came the Only Hope scene and I was sold. I had really only heard her name and if I remember correctly, she hit the scene about the same time as Brittney Spears, who I have little interest in. I never bothered to really listen to her as it wasn't my genera of music. Well, live and learn. I have total respect for her singing, her person and what she's about. Kudos to Mandy Moore for making an old guitar player hear her.

she Was touring but canceled the rest of her remaining concerts mid-Tour due to Stress and exhaution in her pregnancy

I Only wish the drummer had some sense and played this with more feeling and naunced tone... Still was a beautiful performance , not in the original key but who cares, she carries the feeling with Grace and perfectly durging the complete song. i'lll always remember my youth through her voice
